ladyfan06 09-19-2005, 11:16 AM I am dying!! Does anyone have a way to pass the time until the game starts? Preferably something you can do while sitting at a desk behind a computer at work.
Keep paging yourself over the intercom, don't disguise your voice!
scowan 09-19-2005, 11:17 AM I hate BYES, especially this early in the season. However we have a few guys hurt already and it would be nice to get them back healthy. Guys like Hall, and Nobel and Jansen. However if the Skins lose tonight it will be a very long bye week. I mean how great will a Dallas victory in Dallas and two weeks to savor it feel. Man, I hope the Skins win tonight! The only thing that helps tonight, is I will watch the Giants/Saints game for a little while first and not all of the pre-game hype, which would just make me more nervous and uptight anyway. I can pull for "AMERICA's TEAM", New Orleans, for and hour an a half and not the other team that likes to calls themselves America's team.
BrudLee 09-19-2005, 11:20 AM Check out the "Dallas Morning News" for some entertaining reading
Thanks. They gave me this link (http://www.cowboysplus.com/topstory/stories/091905cpcowgameday.6f973492.html), which leads off with this headline:
Gameday: Cowboys (1-0) vs. Washington (0-1)
Editors on strike?

Hey, great segway into tonights game - New Orleans is now officially America's team. How did the Cowpokes get that name anyway??
12thMan 09-19-2005, 11:37 AM I extended my vacation an extra day just because I knew I wouldn't be able to concentrate worth a sh**T today!

some idiot in the media probably called them that once and it was all over after that.... tends to be how it goes down...
That Guy 09-19-2005, 11:41 AM i kinda wish the QB change happened a couple days later, it'd give me something to do besides sit around until class starts...

Actually I thought it was pretty accurate. We are going to have to play a tight game. Few mistakes, move the chains, and just as the reporter says, let Portis control the game. Williams and his Jailbreaks can do the rest!

yeah that's pretty much how it went down:
"JAN. 1979
Dallas completes their 13rd consecutive winning season, and enters into their record 5th Super Bowl. AND Pittsburgh beats Dallas, 35-31, in Super Bowl XIII. After the 1978 season, Bob Ryan, NFL films editor, names the Cowboys "America's team"."
