i think minnesota is finally learning the "you can't just sign a bunch of high profile free agents and expect to win" rule. the redskins know that rule through and through.
What’s with Minnesota?mooby 09-18-2005, 11:35 PM i think minnesota is finally learning the "you can't just sign a bunch of high profile free agents and expect to win" rule. the redskins know that rule through and through. BigSKINBauer 09-18-2005, 11:40 PM well i have terrible grammer so i shouldnt correct anyone, but worser is the grammatical errors of grammatical errors :) i didnt mean it as an attac. sorry if you were offended. please forgive me, i am having a bad week, i just realized i have culpepper on my fantasy football teams :( but i do disagree with your post. both of them. smoot isnt a sell out, he is taking care of his finances. 3 million is alot for anyone. sure the D gave up 500yards but when the offence turns the ball over 5 times it is expected. if brunell throws 5 ints, the skins will give up 500 yards too.you r forgiven it has been a long week for redskins fans and week 2 isn't even over for us yet. i must point out one grammatical error by you to be fair, no s on errors, but i agree worser is the "worser" of the two. I too have culpepper so i did think that their offense would be good, maybe they need moss. Got Moss? i think minnesota is finally learning the "you can't just sign a bunch of high profile free agents and expect to win" rule. the redskins know that rule through and through. Yes if mike tice has any questions about signing high profile people he can just ask redskin fans:Flush: 12thMan 09-19-2005, 12:07 AM On the subject of the NFC North, which looks like it is completely up for grabs, who do you guys think is the favorite. I have to say the Bears D is for real, the guys in my fantasy league think that I was a nut case for drafting them, of course I got Skins D as well....wishing now I started Da Bears this week. Anyhow, what does everyone think, I am out to lunch thinking Chicago looks like the best team in the NFC North right now? Also how long before all of the pundits jump off the Minnesota and Arizona band wagons, since the pundits were all touting those two teams before the season started? If the Redskins are not ranked above those two teams in the so called Power Rankings, it will just confirm that those rankings are manure. I can't believe people would get hyped on Arizona, all I have to say is, "Bidwell Brothers". Everyone rips on Snyder, but at least he will pay whatever it takes to win. I'm sorry, but I'm jumping on the Chicago bandwagon. I don't think they are Super Bowl contenders or anything but I think they could very well be the best in that division. I also think Kyle Orton will improve as the season goes along. Think about it, will he face a more formidable defense for the rest of the year than ours? Maybe not - and the kid did decent. As far as the Vikings go, you can cut it, slice it or dice it anyway you want, they miss Moss bigtime! The thing about a Randy Moss is you have to plan your whole game around him and now he's gone. So D coordinators now have their work reduced significantly, IMO. Also consider this, when Culpepper and Moss were on fire last year that changed the way the defense played because offenses were forced to play at a different tempo because of Culpepper/Moss constantly putting points on the board. That's not the case now. So all the cracks in their defense are even more evident now. diehardskin2982 09-19-2005, 12:26 AM RANDY MOSS is the best reciever in the NFL and this proves it. I'm glad because they were idiots to get rid of him in the first place! bertoskins 09-19-2005, 12:43 AM MINNESOTA? - They imitate our old ways of buying FA. glad for us we already know our mistakes that was ineffective and costly go skins skinsfanthru&thru 09-19-2005, 12:56 AM another huge missing peice for the Vikings is their starting center which may not mean much to some teams, but Matt Birk leads that line against the run and pass defenses and anytime you are missing the leader at a position, it's gonna hurt. And as of now the trade of moss is hurting them almost as much as all of their defensive "upgrades." I know I was one who thought their team had made improvements to the recieving corp and the defensive unit to make up for the loss of Moss and finally get them over the hurdle, but as of now that definitely isn't the case. But the season is still young and they have 14 games left. Plus one thing about this game that I didn't notice anyone say is instead of looking at how bad the Vikes are, how about how quickly Marvin Lewis has vastly improved the Bengals. Palmer, Johnson, and Johnson are a possible Manning, James, Harrison type trio in the making. skinsfanthru&thru 09-19-2005, 01:00 AM RANDY MOSS is the best reciever in the NFL and this proves it. I'm glad because they were idiots to get rid of him in the first place! it was obvious that he had worn out his welcome with the Vikes with all of his off and on the field antics. And while they'll never replace him with a single player talent wise, I know I hope and pray the Skins never have anyone on their roster like him or owens. Plus it's not like having Moss on their team ever got the Vikes to the big dance either. saden1 09-19-2005, 01:09 AM Simply put, they don't have Randy "Just Throw It" Moss! They weren't good last year and they certainly won't be good with Randy gone. I had them marked as an 7-9 teams when the season started. SmootSmack 09-19-2005, 01:22 AM Not just Minnesota, but how about them Packers? Among those two plus the Ravens I'm not sure which is the most disappointing team so far. Probably Minnesota just because of all the pre-season hype. redrock-skins 09-19-2005, 01:47 AM Not just Minnesota, but how about them Packers? Among those two plus the Ravens I'm not sure which is the most disappointing team so far. Probably Minnesota just because of all the pre-season hype. 7-9 may win the Norris division. |
