One positive area for the Redskins during the preseason and for the first game has been the offensive line. We are really moving people off the line of scrimage and creating some nice creases for Clinton Portis.
I just heard Bill Parcells say, in preparation for Monday night, that he's noticed an improvement along the offensive line. This bodes well for the Redskins Monday night, especially as they stack eight men in the box to try to stifle Clinton.
One bright spot this year has been Derrick Dockery. He has very quitely had a solid preseason and is off to a good start. In contrast to last season, I don't believe Dockery was penalized once during the entire preseason or during the Chicago game. This speaks to a combination of excellent coaching by Buges and dedication on Dockery's part.
As the season wears on I think we can certainly expect this to be one of the more dominant lines in the NFL. I think we pretty much know what to expect from Samuels, Jansen, Raybach and Thomas but it's certainly possible that DD could emerge as the most dominant of the bunch.
