Do you care that Rod Gardner is gone?

You know, I never really liked Rod Gardner. From the instant they passed on Santana Moss to draft him. That really was just a minor thing. What really irked me was all his consistantly dropped passes. Easy ones at that. That was an irritation.

But the thing about him that really caused me to dislike him was when I had the chance to actually see him face to face in person. The time I went up to Carlisle for training camp, I got to see Rod Gardner several times through out the day. And each time he turned up a snobish nose to all the fans he passed. He was cocky and arrogant. He acted like he was the greatest reciever of all time and every being should bow to him and no body was worthy enough to have him give them their autograph.

At least guys like John Jansen and Bruce Smith still stopped for a couple fans, even though they were supposed to be at a meeting. But Gardner, every time I saw him, had no where to be and was just swaggering slowly on by; or if he was standing near, would turn up his nose arrogantly and then smirk at you and walk away.

That in combination with the fact that he really sucked as a NFL reciever makes me glad that he's gone. I wanted him gone about 3 years ago.

Your Gardner thoughts?

I dont care about personality all that much really. All I know is he was inactive(!) for Carolina this past weekend which just shows the Skins were right to drop that dead weight. He couldn't even crack their top 3 WRs.

Gardner is a #3 on the Carolina Panthers. Exactly why should I be missing him again?

Good riddance.

I couldn't agree more -- that guy killed more drives than opposing defenses. And I always suspected that some of it was a work ethic issue (which is never a question mark with truly great receivers, and doens't appear to be for our current lineup).

I don't really care anymore, what is done is done, only thing is the redzone threat, we need one and i just don't think sean taylor is the answer. By the way Marcus washington hasn't let his pro bowl preformances get to his head, he signed every single person after the game, every single person. He was there for a good 20 minutes signing. I was surprised and everyone thanked him and told him this is why he is our team leader
