I agree with Ramsey. He's all gun & no touch. Brunell & Campbell throw with better feel & touch.
Campbell for week 3 lol

Do you support Gibbs' decision to start Brunell? (Merged)ChounsMan 09-13-2005, 12:35 PM I agree with Ramsey. He's all gun & no touch. Brunell & Campbell throw with better feel & touch. Defensewins 09-13-2005, 12:58 PM Yes. I am amazed that some on this board are bigger Ramsey fans than they Redskins or Joe Gibbs fans. I have not posted anything until now about this because there are some angry people about this subject. Comments like 'I hope ramsey comes back on another team and torches us...'...etc... etc. I realize some folks really love Ramsey as a person, but his QB play has not developed or approached the level of play that I expect of our starter. While Brunnell is not the answer he is not going to throw a ton of interception, get sacked all the time and play as inconsistantly as Ramsey. Bozzy 09-13-2005, 01:00 PM Yeah I do, Ramsey turned the ball over TWICE and doesn't know when a play is dead. celts32 09-13-2005, 01:06 PM Everyone here is just assuming that Brunell will be just as bad as last year. If Gibbs felt that Brunell would be as bad as he was last year he would not have made the change. With the way Ramsey was playing it is clear that we were not going to win a lot of games with him as starter. This is a defensive team that needs to run the ball and control the clock on offense. Ramsey makes to many mistakes to play that style of game. Ramsey might score a couple more TD's as starter, but he will also give up more TD's by putting our defense on a short field more often than Brunell will. CrazyCanuck 09-13-2005, 01:10 PM Yes. skins052bgr8 09-13-2005, 01:11 PM I would have to say NO to starting Brunell under this circumstance, give Ramsey the damn Reigns for the first three or four games and place judgement then. Odds are we could have been at least 2 and 2 under nearly the worst case scenario with Ramsey starting the season not lost and got a better feel for what Ramsey would have done and made the transistion alot easier to Brunell who if he is the answer should be able to bail us out and turn the season around if he is playing that well right now to make this call my guess is he will be in three to four weeks. Gibbs is handling this situation so wrong no matter if you trust him or not. djdunick 09-13-2005, 01:36 PM Memphis, Gheez Donovan McNabbb threw an interception in the first quarter last night and I didn't see Andy Reid giving him the hook. I also see Favre throwing interceptions occasionally too. Fact of the matter is every QB is going to throw an interception but that doesn't mean they immediately get benched. MTK 09-13-2005, 01:37 PM I am amazed that some on this board are bigger Ramsey fans than they Redskins or Joe Gibbs fans. That is something that's puzzling to me as well. rickmmrr 09-13-2005, 01:41 PM yes |
