Here's one you guys can add to the stock pile:

I guarantee Mark Brunell never wins or plays in a Super Bowl for the Redskins. I'll be surprised if he plays in a playoff game for this team.

One thing no one is talking about in here is how the rest of the team will take this. I thought that I read that Ramsey was very well liked by his teamates. If they think that he got a bum rap and not a full chance, they'll lose repsect for Gibbs.

That's the only thing that really worries me about the situation. Especially since I know Jon Jansen is best friends with him.

My thought is they'll get over it though.

Jon Jansen should be apologizing because it's all his fault. If he had picked up Briggs or even picked up a penalty by tripping Briggs, Ramsey never goes down and Gibbs doesn't get a look at Brunell....J/K

I think they are going to interview ramsey and brunell after the MNF game on ABC if anyone wants to watch. I know I do.

oh snap, heck yeah I want to see that. I wonder if Ramsey will gaive the standard, "best for the team" quote.

I'm not going to lie, I've been a Brunell fan for years. Since back in his Jaguars days. So I'm probably a bit biased here.

That doesn't mean I can't like Ramsey as well. And I'll admit that one reason I really started rooting for Ramsey last year wasn't so much of him but Skinz_Domin8. Sigh, you guys remember him, right? Former Warpath user who was such an ass to everyone here and was so idiotic in his anti-Ramsey bashing that I rooted for Ramsey just to spite Domin8. Petty, I know.

But what I don't get is what does Gibbs really owe Ramsey? I mean, why should he have given him a chance in the first place? Gibbs was brought back to restore the team to the glory it last enjoyed under Gibbs' first tenure, with or without Ramsey. I know, I know-if we don't question Gibbs then why have this board-but as cruel as it may sound, Gibbs really doesn't owe Ramsey anything.

[QUOTE=Ramseyfan]SUNRA,

I'm just curious why you are so hard on Ramsey, but back Brunell at every turn. I defended Brunell last night when people were arguing that Brunell's INT (that was called back) was not his fault. I have yet to see you defend Ramsey in any situation. I know everyone likes to use hyperbole to simplifications to make a point (as I sometimes do), but do you really think the QB debate is as cut and dry as it is being made out to be? If you have that much confidence in Brunell, I just don't understand where it was coming from last season or this season.[/QUOTE

Joe Gibbs has more experience in developing a QB into his system and winning as you know with three different QBS. This was what he is best known for. 2 out of the 3 QB's were MVP's of the Superbowl. Now if I understand and respect Gibbs's success in this area, why should I waste time defending a QB who hasn't played an entire season. It's not his fault, but that's the baggage he carries and he seems to have not learned anything from his past mistakes. Holding on the ball too long, taking the sack instead of throwing the ball away. No understanding of reading defenses which led to him audiblizing so much that it became a hindrance to the offense and his ability to lead the team with confidence. Some QBs have it and more than enough don't. The way Gibbs sees it, Ramsey just doesn't have it. I have been a Redskins fan for over 30 years, I think I know a mentally sound and physically gifted QB when I see won. I watched one last night, dismantle a Ravens defense.

i feel the franchise owes Ramsey but all the franchise BS he's been through aside, the team itself deserves to have the guy they trained with all offseason behind center. not the old guy with no reps this season and had his chances already and gave us 6-10.

I guarantee you Mark Brunell delivers to the fans of the Washington Redskins a victory over Dallas Cowboys and solidifies his place in the Warpath Hall of Fame. Throw Brunell throw and Run Clinton Run. Redskins win this one guys.

Okay...that's your opinion. When does he deliver a win against Dallas? This Monday? You know who the last Skins QB was to beat Dallas? Patrick Ramsey.
