I've already written this season off. Thanks for nothing, Gibbs!

Bye!

That's a valid point about it might've been Musgrave....like someone brought up earlier. This might've been on the part of the coaching staff and not just Gibbs. Yes, Gibbs had part in it. But I'm sure it was most of the coaching staff.

That is pretty asinine, anyone can have an opinion, why does someone have to be head coach to have an opinion that matters. I am not going to kiss Joe Gibbs ass, over what he did in the past. By his own admission Gibbs said the past is the past judge him on the present.

So far in Gibbs II we have the good

Greg Williams hiring

Portis trade

Then we have the bad

Brunell $43 Million contract

6-10 record last season.

In Gibbs II we have a cumlative record of 7-10, hardly awe inspiring and now a team that if probably close to disarray with the QB controversy. If Ramsey is not the answer Brunell sure as hell is not either, might as well thrown in the rookie and see if he was worth the first round pick. This team WILL NOT go to the playoffs with Brunell. Before anyone hyperventilates and throws out the Ravens comparisson, at least Dilfer could throw the deep ball and occassionally challenge the other team, rag arm Brunell by his own addmission could not even throw the pass that was picked by called back because of penalty as far as he wanted to, he was ten yards short.

Gibbs didn't negotiate the contract.

Gibbs didn't make all the errors that caused the failures in the Offense resulting in a 6-10.

Please post proof of Brunell saying he couldn't make that throw.

Wow, things get really spicy during CowWhores week.

RedskinRat - "Whoever Coach Gibbs pick is the best option?" Are you implying the Gibbs is, therefore, infallible or that we should all just accept whatever he decides without question?

We love the Skins just as much as Gibbs and it seems Gibbs is the only one who thinks Brunell should start next week.

With all the negative posts out there I wanted to just say that:

Im a Skins fan first.

I believe that Gibbs is a better judge of football talent than me, or Bradshaw, or any of those idiot reporters out there.

If Brunnel is the starter, I will be behind him yelling out support as loud as I can.

That is what real fans do.

TAFKAS, pull me up onto the bandwagon!

I don't like it either, but put me on the WAGON...hopefully the wheels can stay on!

he said he couldn't make it in his press conference, and that it was unfair to ask him to throw it ;)

since he wasn't warmed up... but then again, its been over a YEAR now and he has yet to warm up :(

He'll stick with Brunell, and we'll go 6-10 again."

Couldn't have said it better myself. This move is not only unfair to Ramsey and bad all around, but it creates unecessary and unneeded turmoil on the team. There are many guys on the team, including some team leaders such as Jansen, who want Ramsey in, not Brunell. Also, wonder how our new receivers feel, knowing that the QB will never be able to go long to them? I hope they're ready for 5-yard averages on their receptions.

To those who dare question why many of us are angry with Gibbs, it's because this move is totally ridiculous and makes a mockery of Gibbs' previous statement that Ramsey was his starter. As someone else said, if you get benched for making mistakes in the first game, then Brown and several others also need to be pulled.

Matty:

Please save this post in archive....for those people that don't believe, make them eat crow when this is successful. Personally, and this kills me, we didn't stand a chance this week in Dallas with the offense whether its Ramsey or Brunell, it really doesn't matter. Unfortunately the turnovers and playing in front of a hostile crowd does not bode well for this team right now. I do think this team will still go 9-7 or 10-6 even with a loss Monday. It will take a few more weeks to iron out the few kinks left in the armour and this will be a dominant football team in November/December.

First off, I sure wasn't sick when Gibbs won 3 rings...

Secondly, Gibbs is loyal to the Redskins organization. If he believes Ramsey hurts the team more than Brunell, he's got to go with Brunell. You can't be loyal to one player over the team. This is football- not tennis.

First of all, this is not 15 or 20 years ago, so the 3 rings don't mean anything in terms of how Gibbs deals with this struggling team. I have been a Skins fan all my life and always will be, but it's time to stop judging Gibbs by what he did in the 80's.

I'm not questioning Gibbs' loyalty, nor has anyone else who thinks this is a lame brain move on his part. I am beginning to question if he still has what it takes to make us a winner. So far, the jury is still way, way out on this one and his most recent decision has done nothing to convince me that he can make a go of it in 2005.

so after a couple of pre-season games and 3 regular season drives, we now want BRUNELL?? congratulations guys, the Redskins fans have now gotten as bad if not worse than Eagles fans. biggest 180 i've ever witnessed and for what, the chance that a hamstring was what made Brunell's passes suck last year?

i'm definitely dissappointed in Gibbs, for all his integrity, he couldn't have treated Ramsey any worse, i mean ANY worse. it would have been merciful to let him go, but keeping him this long is the worst torture and has killed both his esteem and value.

i really hope he's pulling a fast one on Dallas and really having Ramsey behind center, else how could we believe anything else from Gibbs from here on out? all the talk and 'support' he gave Ramsey this off-season was BS? no way three drives equates to the season he TRASHED by keeping Brunell so long last season.
