The offense moved the ball well yesterday, just need to score a couple TD's. Remember, the Bears will end up a top 5 defense, they are an excellent defensive unit. This week its the cowpokes and they are really good on D. Offense will get it in the endzone on a regular basis in the coming weeks and when that happens and Williams can let the D really loose it will be fun to watch. Patience, patience, patience (I know its hard to do) but they are definately going in the right direction. Last year, they might have lost that game yesterday...but they didn't.

Hay to lighten things up a little guess what I did yesterday. I do not have any skins stuff like shirts or caps to wear I just never buy that stuff. I was rushing out the door at 6:30am to go to the game and on the way out grabed at hat to wear. While we were tail gating I started talking smack to a Bears fan and he said I thought you where on my saide and I just gave him a funny look. Later my cap feel off and as I picked it up I noticed I was wearing a Chicago Ill hat and all my buddies started laughing at me but they never noticed either. Well now I own a skins hat.

Some quick thoughts,

1) The pass rush. In the second half the plan seemed to be to blitz enough to get Orton to think about it and to back off and play zone. Masterful job by Williams of getting into the rookie's head, true he made some plays but nothing deep and nothing of note.

2) The passing game. I didn't expect an offensive explosion, although I did hope for one. There's just no way that Gibbs is going to let it all hang loose the week before playing Dallas on Monday night. I think it was a classic look ahead game, especially when Rex Grossman got hurt in the preseason, then this became an easy win and we started to look ahead to the Cowboys game. That said, I thought Cooley blew it when he didn't run his route in the end zone and I thought Brunell did an excellent job of protecting the ball, throwing it away once and taking the sack another time.

3) The constants. Or as we have come to know them, defense and Portis. No matter who Williams suits up they play physical and Portis is simply awesome. Betts raising the level of his play just will motivate Portis that much more.

All told, I thought our offense would play better but I look for a more even performance next Monday night. The Cowboys looked very beatable, the only thing that scares me is that the passes that Bledsoe was completing were the same ones that Kyle Orton was getting on us, the slants and crossing patterns underneath. Their secondary looked very ordinary, several blown coverages and the safety opposite Roy Williams might as well be wearing a target sign instead of a number. I can't wait for the game
