I haven't had a chance to watch Campbell play too much this preseason, but did watch him last week and last night. It looks like he has some problems right now with the short throws and seems more comfortable with the deep routes. Nice td pass, bad interceptions. Can we take anything from watching him so far this preseason? Its way too early to tell, but what do you guys think about his chances are of being a starting QB yrs down the road?
This is what we can take from his preseason.
He's a rookie.
So much for those that wanted him to start. He's clearly not ready to play this year in my opinion.

That says it all! He's a rookie! Has a cannon, but hasn't learned to look off the CB, or read a D.

Positives: Has a lot of poise in the pocket and shows some really good touch on his passes.
He's got all the tools you look for, big arm, nice size, and he seems very calm and cool in the pocket. Like any young QB, he's just going to need time.

Time? What time? According to all the experts who cover football, he's part of one of the biggest QB contreversies in the history of the NFL...
In all seriousness though, he showed some good things from what I got to watch from him; however like Matty said, he's clearly not ready to play yet. I'd say looking at him at this time next year will be a much better indication.

How many A-HOLES said Campbell would be starting by week 8? How many of those same A-HOLES completely wrote off Mark Brunell? Not saying I didn't write off Brunell, but I don't get paid to do this stuff!!!

I'm one of those A-holes that said he could be playing by week #8 this year.
Ram and Bru have played better than last year but that ain't saying much.
Jason is the future of this team and who will be the QB when we next play in the Super Bowl.
ps. I'm a Redskins fan with an opinion and not an A-hole actually so please don't refer to me like that again kind sir. Thanks

Agree with all the sentiments on the board: he has all the tools, he just needs to learn how to read defenses and play smart football.
For instance, I agree with the Redskins.com team that he didn't know how to manage the team towards the end of the game. Actually, Dyson was more of a quarterback out there at the end of the game than Campbell. Then again, Dyson is a veteran and Campbell is a rookie.
He will need a minimum of 2 years before he is ready to play, which works out perfectly actually because Ramsey has one more year on his contract.
