That's if he clears waivers, which he might not.

Who's going to take him with that contract....?

When they can wait until he clears & then bid.... :coach:

I am pissed that our cap situation has been mismanaged so that we have no money to sign anyone at this time.
I have said a million times that this is the best time of year to get some real bargains. But Snyderatto, who in the past just gave away Redskins Salary cap money, have spent us into a tight situation.
I am amazed the the eagles have more than $5m under the cap.

My only concern is he will go with the Eagles, (who have a ton of cap space) or the Cowboys who have Bledsoe.

Falcons Cut Price? are they for sale? i could see both Gibbs and Snyder interested in buying that team.

*sorry, couldn't bite my lip any longer*

While Peerless could be just fine in the role that many of us have envisioned Taylor Jacobs playing, I think I'd stick with what we have.

What confuses me is how we complain every year about fiscal irresponsibility and lack of stability and team chemistry. And yet here we are with the regular season just 10 days away and again we're talking about spending money to bring someone in at the last minute. Let's just let the players who have been with us all preseason grow.

I'm pretty sure he'll clear waivers. If I'm not mistaken, he has some roster bonuses built into his contract for next year. While that may be attractive for a team (since they could cut him next year and avoid the bonuses), I'm sure he's resistant to the idea of playing out that deal without a renegotiation.

Though this will ultimately be Gibbs's call, I'm sure Gregg Williams has his ear about Price's practice habits and demeanor, if not his skills.

One of the reasons I think a Price signing will ultimately not happen is a quote of Price's from earlier this offseason. When he was asked about his lack of productivity and chemistry with his quarterback, his comment was (paraphrasing) "Look at the tape." Basically, he was saying he got open, and it was the QBs fault if he didn't get the ball.

My problems with this statement are numerous:

What kind of teammate throws his QB under the bus like that?
According to Stats Inc., you had a 5.26% droppped pass rate. Was that the QBs fault?
In 2003, when Vick (the guy who's really at fault) was sidelined with an injury, your numbers weren't dramatically higher. You went from averaging 13.1 yds per catch to 12.8 yds per catch. Is Schaub the problem as well?

Bottom line is Price, though relatively healthy the past two years (listed as Doubtful once and Questionable four times), has 6 TDs and one 100 yard game in two years. That makes him a role player - he actually compares (and not favorably) to James Thrash in his last two years in Philadelphia (8 TDs, 1 100 yard game). As much as I love Thrash as a player, I'd drop him in a minute if he smack-talked our third string QB, much less the face of our franchise.

I don't get it either.

I chalk it up to that 'Madden' mentality that was our MO for the first few years under Snyder.

Let's leave well enough alone. No need to jump on every free agent that hits the wire. Those days are over, thankfully.

.

I'm curios about these statements the first 1 is droping 5 passes out of 100 high in the NFL I really don't know. Can you make a comparison with other receivers.

And on the second point I don't care so much as the yard per cach but to how many catches he had with Schaub and totalyards vs how much he had with Vick..... Because that's what he has said not that he dosen't get more yards per catch but that Vick didn't trew him the ball that much.

and if he got open with Schaub he got open with Vick he just didn't throw him the ball because lets face it even thought Vick is an electricfying player his an average QB at best has a lot of talent arm strength he has 0 accuracy and trust he quits to easy and runs he dosen't waith for the play to develop or does't make pases knowing than when the pass will arriave his receiver will be open so thats why I whant to know how he did with schaub .

Couldn't have said it better myself, so I won't try....

So you are against improving the player talent of the team just so we can have good team chemistry? That would be fine if we had a talented playoff team, but we still have weakness' in some areas of our roster.
Exactly how is adding one talented player going hurt team chemistry?
A veteran NFL player like Price can come and play the next day. This is football not rocket science
