New England Patriots (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nwe): The team released kick returner Chad Morton (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5195), who was on the physically unable to perform list, and six other players.
Morton was limited to six games last season by ligament damage in his right knee and did not re-sign with the Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was), where he spent two seasons. In 2003, he had career highs of 48 carries for 216 yards and also returned 44 kickoffs for an average of 23.4 yards and one touchdown in Washington.
Also cut were wide receiver Jason Anderson, placekicker Robbie Gould, offensive guard Ryan Krug, defensive lineman Ifo Pili, cornerback Hank Poteat (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5106) and defensive lineman Santonio Thomas.

Not to be a dick but I don't think this is applies to the skins. Chad Morton has no place on our team as of now.

Because it hasn't been long since he was cut by the Redskins, and I'll admit that I am curious about how well some of our former Redskins are doing. Unfortunately for Chad Morton, I don't see him around the league too much longer. I think the injuries are getting the best of him now.

Matty, hope you don't mind but I took off the Patriots logo from your post. I felt kind of weird seeing that logo on our homepage.

I wanted him to do well, i don't like this.......well i would like him to do better than other former redskins.
Not that i don't like pierce or smoot but i would really like it if they had worse years than last year so people would see that part of their success was just being on our D

Peter King is like the god of all sports writers, next time he has a chat or something where you can talk to him, I think somebody should shove it in his face. Maybe an email or something.

Hahahaha......Peter King!
Ya know though...thinking about now, the Redskins have always had doubters in the media. I seemed to remember Jimmie "The Greek" not being too high on the Redskins. This, of course, was back in the 80's when the Skins we're a threat, year in and year out.
