Not only did we throw the ball DOWN field, but the running game looked great too......and the Steelers have a solid defense.............

What I got from our offense is that the Pittsburgh Steelers were a non-factor in their overall performance because of our aggressive offensive line. That's where the victory was won. No sacks in the entire game says alot. And let me tell you, our 2nd string offensive line isn't a pushover by a long stretch.

It's a step in the right direction, especially for confidence. That D is pretty awesome. I think we just smacked em around, and they just didn't feel like getting it going in a preseason game. BUt no doubt they didn't send all their bltizes and so-on. But whatever. We had a job to do, and we did it. Now on to the next test, and let's keep going forward.

I think our run D is very good. I really think that's crucial with this D-line. Williams knows how to create pressure from other areas. And I do think it will help having Lavar back. He brings fire on every play. Down the road, of course it would be nice to have a serious DE pass rusher. But one step at a time.

The main thing I love so far is the affect of Jansen on the whole offense. The attitude alone is worth it. But he is just a kick-ass right tackle. If the skins O improves, he'll be pro-bowl bound.

From an outsiders POV and a guy who caught a good part of the Skins/Steelers game the Redskins are much improved on the O

the Steelers though dont look anywhere near the team they were last season. I think the Steelers will be fighting the Ravens tooth and nail for the division championship..somewhere around 10 wins

And thats quite a statement considering the Ravens have perhaps the worst starting QB in the NFL

Word has it that Roethlisberger got a big head after last years success, the Pittsburgh passing game wont be what it was without a huge target like Plexiglass Burress and as usual Duce Staley is injured

Sure they got Miller, but he's a rookie

Heck an injury to Bettis that keeps him out of the lineup (he's already nicked up) leaves the Pitt offense in dire straights

Ben got a HUGE head after last year and so far he's gotten a rude awakening this year...

I watched the first half of the Steelers game on saturday and I spent alot of time watching the offensive line in slo-mo, and I was just loving how guys were being blown off the ball.

The return of Jansen obviously is huge, and I like what I've seen from Dockery. In fact, everyone up front has picked up their games it seems. Things really seem to be coming together up front, I really don't see any glaring weaknesses up front. Portis was running through gaping holes and the pass protection at times was ridiculously good giving Ramsey plenty of time to throw.

The saying goes that it all starts up front, and I think that's very true. If the Pittsburgh game was a sign of things to come from the offensive line, I think we're in for a very good year offensively speaking.

I got to watch from the 400-level from the end zone, it was a great perspective to see the plays open up. Portis (Betts, Cartwright AND Nemo) all normally had holes the size of 3-4 bodies to fit through. The o-line was seriously blowing people up. Also, the pass protection was amazing. Every QB had eons to throw the ball.

thats iffy, you have Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown... Micheal Pittman, Carnell Williams...
Bennett, Moore, Williams in Minnesota...Pries Holmes, Larry Johnson... and Mike Vick, Warrick Dunn, T.J. Duckett.

Thanks!
