If I'm correct with who he is I thought he played pretty good for us and we tried to sign him to a longer contrect. That was Daryl Gardener....he got his big contract with Denver I think and proceeded to get in barfights and have more back problems. Russell we picked up the following year hoping he could be another Gardener type, but lightning rarely strikes twice so to speak, and he didn't last... Yes you are thinking of Darryl Gardener who did play well for us. Russell was out of shape and still too unstable for the NFL.
