Is it me or are starters, on all teams, staying in much longer this preseason? It seems like instead of playing for one quarter or a series that the starters are playing at least an entire half; minus a few players (i.e. Portis).
Maybe it's my memory, but I think it's kinda neat (although just as scary!).
On another note, I think this game is critical for our offense. We need to see what Ramsey has. If not, I wouldn't be suprised to see some changes to the starting lineup.

We have seen some skill positions stay in longer than normal. Ramsey has seen a lot of action, though it hasn't been with other starters all the time.
I think Ramsey will get less than a half tonight. Gibbs has stated he wants to see all three QBs play. Portis will be in for more than a half, I hope.

I don't think Portis will see it much past a couple of series. Ramsey may see a half if we arnt producing as a first unit.
Less than 31/2 hours to kick off.

I think it's because there's a lot of rookies and sophomores starting in key positions. Also, quite a few new coaches, def / off coordinators across the league may contribute to it as well. For Skins, it may be due to Gibbs wanting to see how Ramsey will perform with new WRs, O-line's new blocking scheme for Portis etc. As long as there are no injuries, they could use the playing time since we lost couple of training days.
The 3rd preseason game is typically the big tune up game, starters will play into the second half typically, then in the last preseason game they'll play very little.
