I'm still a Sean Taylor fan
Coach Williams and Sean Taylordiehardskin2982 08-26-2005, 02:12 PM I'm still a Sean Taylor fan PSUSkinsFan21 08-26-2005, 02:13 PM He's still a Meathead.....but he's our Meathead......so as long as Coach Williams stands behind him, so will I. FRPLG 08-26-2005, 02:33 PM If this guy can focus himself on playing at the highest level he will become the best player in football I think. He is arguably one of the top 5 or so athletes in the game. He reminds me so much of Arrington in terms of his mix of size athleticism and skill. Arrington has been a good ball player but something has kept him from getting to that next level... The Ray Lewis level. Maybe it is his tendency to free wheel it and maybe it has been circumstance but hopefully Taylor will be able to follow the path of Lewis (on the field only please) and not Lavar. I love Lavar but he has not reached his super high potential. Maybe this year he will. Schneed10 08-26-2005, 02:41 PM I think overall Taylor is a real good guy. I just think he is easily influenced by people around him. When he's on the field and at practice, he's a wonderful team player who works hard because everyone around him works hard. Coach Williams pushes him to be the best and Sean responds to it. And deep down, Sean likes being around that. It's just that during the offseason he was surrounded by a different set of people. I think they influence him and his decision making just like his teammates do. Plus Taylor is a pretty quiet guy off the field. I feel like he just has a follower's personality at this point in his life, easily influenced. Many young people are like that. I think he'll grow into himself and soon become his own man. I think Gregg Williams is trying so hard to get him to stick around next offseason because he knows that when put in the right situation, Sean Taylor is the model citizen. Schneed10 08-26-2005, 02:44 PM This whole thing just goes to show that offseason drama (largely perpetuated by the media) often has little to do with on-field performance. Except in the case of TO, hopefully! :biggthump Hog1 08-26-2005, 02:48 PM I personally am still pissed off by ST's off the field probs. Yet, He is young and stupid. Hopefully, he is done with that stupidity, and does not turn our to be T.O.'s EVIL twin. If he is done, the fans will forgive. If Greg Williams believes in him, it is good enough for me, as the dude is a monster!!!! He is going to be a real problem for opposing offenses to contain. Arrington should raise hell as well. Basically, I would hate like hell to play out D as it will be raining blitzer's!!!!! JWsleep 08-26-2005, 02:59 PM I loved the GW 60-seconds. I agree with the comments that Sean is easily influenced--he seems to take on the personality of those around him. Right now, he's got GW, Marcus Washington, Shawn Springs, Joe Gibbs, etc. Down in Miami, he's got some thug from B-more with a baseball bat. SEAN--PLEASE STAY IN DC!!! Another great thing about the WIlliams 60 was his comments at the end--where he talks about winning another Super Bowl for Joe Gibbs. Kick ass. Defensewins 08-26-2005, 03:21 PM Sean Taylor has brought so much to our D and has everything to do with our improvement on defense last year. Before Taylor our defense was not very consistant. Great Safeties reduce the big play by the opposing offense. Great safeties lead to interceptions, fumbles, sacks and big hits. We need to develop a great SS and we would be all set on defense. I am so glad we did not pick KWII. scowan 08-26-2005, 04:12 PM Defensewins, I agree with you. Who needs KWII when we have Cooley anyway! What a surprise he turned out to be AND we have Taylor on D. Gibbs as a coach has never been questioned, but maybe Gibbs as a personel guy, just needs to be given time. GoSkins! 08-26-2005, 04:22 PM Gotta love the guy as an athlete in spite of off field stuff. Question? How would you guys like to be an offensive coordinator trying to scheme for the skins knowing that Arrington and Taylor will be blitzing at the same time? Remember, Springs, Rogers, Harris and another safety are still in coverage. |
