Ok, to clarify my previous post and probably to prove my geeky-ness, another reason I bring up the 4WR set formation, is because I have also been playing Madden 06, and the Gibbs playbook does not have a 4WR formation. I know those guys at Madden know everything.....right!

I thought there were some 4 WR sets in the singleback formation... I could be wrong though since I've only played a few games of '06 so far.

Yeah, there are about 4-5 sets of 4 WR plays under the single back playbook in the Skins arsenal on Madden 06.

For what it is worth--wonder why they only talk about these receivers

Darnerien McCants: 6-foot-3, 215 pounds

Once again he's locked in a fight for a roster spot. But McCants still considers himself in the Redskins' plans because of his ability to outleap defenders in the red zone.

"It's hard to overlook me," McCants said. "I'm the biggest one here."

But special teams could make the difference. A bad sign: he didn't play any last week and, as of Wednesday, was not told he'd be playing on any units against Pittsburgh Friday night.

Santana Moss, 5-10, 190

The quarterbacks have struggled to get the ball to the big-play Moss, in practice and in games. He's caught three passes for 29 yards in the preseason.

It appears starter Patrick Ramsey is still adjusting to Moss' speed. But Ramsey lofted a perfect fade to Moss vs. Cincinnati and the receiver didn't turn back in time.

Jimmy Farris, 6-foot, 195

He's a longshot. But Farris has received a decent look and has two receptions for 30 yards, both coming in the preseason opener. He was thrown one pass last week.

But Farris, who played at Montana, is a solid special teamer, which gives him a slim chance. He played 14 games for Atlanta last season on special teams.
