12thMan 08-18-2005, 10:43 PM It seems like some of us will never be convinced that Ramsey is capable. I find it interesting that when guys like McNabb or even the infallable, beloved Tom Brady throws an int. on their first series of the game, it's more acceptable. But oh, if Ramsey throws one he needs to "settle down," he's not "comfortable in the pocket". Can he improve on some of his mechanics, sure!! Is he a good starting NFL quarterback capable of leading the Skins to 11-5 this year - absolutely!

I was never sold on Ramsey as a starting QB in the NFL. A practice squad AB at best. He lacks major talent in the pocket and has had several seasons to correct his technical mistakes that have stunted his growth as a QB. I have given up on cheering for a particular QB over another. I watched the preseason game and felt like Ramsey was reliving his rookie season with the same ole mistakes.

You are CRAZY!!
BigSKINBauer 08-19-2005, 12:48 AM i feel it is just a lack of confidence, not in himself, in his protection. How can you blaim him, he is the toughest QB to go in play after play getting smacked, and only stopping when it was impossible to go on. He is still afraid of D-linemen in my opinion. But PR after looking at replays of the last game and the amzing job the Dirtbags did he now knows that he is the only untouchable man out there because of that line. If he shows more confidence in that line that is deserving of his confidence there will be no stopping him.
We will see tommorow but if he LOOKS like he did last week we will be hearing what we heard this week x10
i have no number predictions because that is overrated in the preseason but i do see him getting 4-5 first downs on a TD drive and that would make my week. If he doesn't i don't care if we keep his ass in there till after the game is over until he does. With that line i am not to worried about injuries so if Gibbs does keep him in as long as last wek i will be ok, but i hope for no injuries on both teams, knock knock knock

You can't be serious!? Reliving his rookie season?? So, according to your analysis, there are probably 5 to 10 "NFL material" QBs starting right now. By the way, he's had about 23 starts in about 4 years....that hardly counts for several seasons.
TheMalcolmConnection 08-19-2005, 09:47 AM Yup, by my count that's only about a season and a half of game experience.
Practice squad QB??
This thread is officially out of control.
saskin 08-19-2005, 11:39 PM I wasn't able to see the game all the way down here in TX so I just had play by play on sportsline I think. But Brunell's stats were a bit better and more comforting to look at. Probably cause he was palying second team.
For someone who watched the game....how was Ramsey?
illdefined 08-19-2005, 11:44 PM from gamecenter, it looked like he really moved the ball. its just his lapses aren't the incomplete kind, they're the INT kind. especially that one in the endzone. couldnt see it see in nyc, was it a deflection? under pressure? or right in the numbers of the defender?
he had some big completions we hadnt seen all last season, details please!
itvnetop 08-19-2005, 11:49 PM was lucky enough to catch the end of the game here in socal... didn't see ramsey, but brunell looked solid. again, he's going against backups- but the backups aren't affecting the zip on his passes. he had a good completion percentage, even with three straight drops by receivers... if we argue that he was playing ultra-scrubs on defense at the end of the game, we have to remember that he was passing to our ultra-scrubs on offense. if nemo hadn't fumbled at the end, brunell probably ties it up within the last two minutes of the game.
it was great to see my fellow high schooler K-Wash have a good game in his homecoming... he's going to make a push for no. 2 wr in cincy this year.
