I changed my mind about posting a weekly player and will weekly post a whole year of Topps Bubble Gum Football Cards. As many of you know I am trying to collect every year of Redskins cards and am about 1/2 way to my goal.

Topps cards are a great way to look back at a year as the players at the time may or not be who you think of when you think of a year.

In 1988 they made the cards of course of the 1987 Super Bowl Team.
Take a look at the fronts and backs of the cards to check on your favorite players.

1988 Topps
Doug Williams, George Rogers, Kelvin Bryant, Timmy Smith, Art Monk, Gary Clark & Ricky Sanders

Thats a pretty nice selection. I'm looking foreward to seeing some more. How far back do the cards run?

The stat sheets on the back are very cool. Thanks for taking the time to put em up for us....

even if you did vote for campbell in the poll lol.

Cards go back as far as about 1948. I have almost all years from 2005 back to the 1970's and that is the decade I am working on now.

Thanks and enjoy

Cool stuff. I remember Kelvin Bryant - Whatever happened to him? Did he suddenly retire or go to another team?

If I could make a suggestion? One of the sets I'd personally like to see would be every QB that has started a game for us since 1992. Don't know if you have them, but it would be interesting.

lol
I'm missing cards for two [2] years in the 1990's so you may have to wait on that. One of the things I will be doing is scanning every card individually and putting them in some type of searchable database but that will be a year down the road.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I too look at the cards and ask whatever happened to this guy or that. Cards are a great way to revisit a year.

peace

Ya'll want to see the 2005 cards?
They just came out and I have a complete set already along with inserts.

2005 is their 50th Anny. of making cards so they have that on them too.

peace
