16-20 but could slip down a braket. I think by week two we'll have a much better idea what this offense is WILLING to do.

Daseal 08-12-2005, 01:56 PM 16-20 but could slip down a braket. I think by week two we'll have a much better idea what this offense is WILLING to do. TheMalcolmConnection 08-12-2005, 02:01 PM I think if you add luck to that equation it is a definite 10 win team. It seemed like we had more luck going for us last year thatn in previus seasons but we couldn't captialize on it. Here's to hoping we have more of the same but better capitalization. It seems like the only luck we had last year was bad luck. Remember the Green Bay game? Remember NUMEROUS bad calls/HUGE bad plays. RedskinRat 08-12-2005, 02:58 PM With a much more efficient offense and a killer D we'll be up in the TD per QTR category, I think we are about ready to go point scoring crazy. NoviSkins 08-12-2005, 03:51 PM 21-25, based on the improved blocking schemes for Portis...and we drafted 2 wrecking balls for goal line situations. skinsfanthru&thru 08-12-2005, 04:58 PM I voted 21-25 cuz of not only the adjustments and additions(some by subtraction) to the offense, but also the explosiveness of the return game and the fact that the defense is entering its second year of Williams' leadership and should be able to have a better idea of how and when to exploit the weaknesses of an opposing offense. Daseal 08-12-2005, 08:50 PM skinsfanthru&thru: That's one thing many fans, including myself, forget very often. Field position alone can really help you put points up quick. I'm still skeptical until I see it. At least the day I was at camp the ball was bouncing off the receivers hands and falling. The only players consistantly catching it were Cooley, Royal and McCants. Moss looked exceptionally bad. I think our running game will be strong but question if we can get 8 out of the box. JWsleep 08-12-2005, 10:22 PM Living up to your signature, eh Daseal? ;) Did you go to that practice right after the Ravens scrimmage? I heard the D dominated that and Ramsey looked shakey. But the last open practice, things seemed much better--Ramsey was on, BLitzes were picked up, etc. And Portis was looking great. I think we'll be over 20 this year--but maybe it's just my unrelenting optimism talking! BigSKINBauer 08-13-2005, 06:11 AM nothing as of now to show tell me we are gonna be better than last year at passing. I will hold my judgement till a later time. hindsight is 20/20 you know i just need to see tommorrow because i am still down about the scrimmage as sad as that might sound. I just won't be happy till i see protection because that is the most important thing next year. Our return game is making me happy though and Brown is a Hall type player in my eyes, i just hope he proves me right. Nice field position means lots of points and lots of games won. IT might even be possible to say that we would not have won the minni game w/o our return game with brown and thrash. Can't wait, first 30 minutes will tell us so much about our team SkinsRock 08-14-2005, 01:52 AM I said 21-25. The offense will be better in Gibbs' second year, plus I think the D will step up in year two of Williams' system and cause more turnovers, and even score a few more times themselves....even if they aren't "rated" quite as high. SUNRA 08-14-2005, 02:03 AM 16-20 points and that's stretching it a bit. Still no deep passing threat if the QB cannot connect with the WR, which makes the running game that more difficult to achieve. |
