It's early we have a new center Rabach and with Jansen back it will take a little bit for the line to gel.....Ramsey got sacked quite a bit so it all starts and ends with the line play...we struggled in practice too, so it showed up in scrimmage play too. Need some more time that's all...........

Glad some of the guys were able to talk to the players and even get some autographs..........JEALOUS HERE FROM TEXAS ;)

My worst QB play of the day
everyone here has heard about marino's "quick arm", he can throw the ball out. It was obvious that the ravens didn't give brown enough room. on a play when brunnel was QB i said that the were playing way to close to Brownt to a raven fan, the guy said, Brown, our defense isn't scared of a no name receiver, as the play was hiked brown took off. He was open and i just kept on saying "see what i mean see what i mean" to the ravens fan, Brown was money and some of the Redskins fans listening in yelled BROWN BROWN. Finally brunnel throws Brown the ball when he is so far into the endzone. it was rediculous, had he thrown it earlier and placed it ahead of him it would have been a TD......... but since it was brunnel he waited and waited side stepped then threw. He threw to short and there wasn't much room to throw it long B/c brown was at the back of the endzone. The ball being thrown so short allowed the DB to turn around and catch it for an endzone interception. I heard some fans yell that brunnel sucks and such.
it hurt it was so like last year, i am an optimistic person but really i felt horrible about Ramsey and Brunnel. I was thinking that finaly ramsey will show the world. he didn't, only great play I SAW, was the shotgun formation. It was awsome to see it work the way it did, but i think ramsey just threw an accurate pass which he awasn't doing before.

I am not worried about our d, very few starters actually started, i thought it was cool that Springs had the headset on, i don't know if he was helping to call the plays or what, he is a leader and shows it on and off the field. Our D wasn't great but nothing to worry bout, many were out.
Offensively i am worried to be honest, i don't want campbell to start just yet, i think a good year must be given to Ramsey. we must remember however they are also an amazing D and had all their good players who took special numbers today, Ray lewis #1 Deion #2 Suggs#4. Also portis didn't touch the ball, he helped on some Play action, the field however was stretched with our speed and there big backfield gave good cushion more room for portis to get a big run in.

a little on Special teams, Tupa was amazing, chandler missed a 40 yarder, i never saw hall miss in practice or later, he hit two 54s in a row and then moved to 56 and hit it with room to spare, i did see him after the game he had an icepack on, i don't think it was anything of importance, is it normal to where an ice pack around after a game strapped to a leg? on coverage we gave up a huge play where all the raven fans started to cheer, but on returning we were dominant(moss brown thrash= domination).

Thanks for the updates from those who went and also the links that have been posted on the site. I wish I could go myself but Seattle is a world away. I commented on it a few posts ago...but the offensive line really concerns me. From what I've been able to gather, Ramsey did ok, but he's gotta get that protection! I know having portis running will help, but man...they better work those lineman to death this week! It'll be interesting to see what happens against Carolina.

i don't even think samuels played so that is some credit to the line but it is true we were being hit. They blitzed A LOT, over again 8 in the box no room for anything short passes. it sucked because it was the same all over again. But if portis was to run i am sure Baltimore woulda not blitzed its safties as much...... talking about blitzing safties...... i know bowen played late on third team or whatever but there was a glimps of the buks game from last year, he stepped up and when it was hiked bolted to the line broke a tackle very quickly from the full back and got the sack. I don't remember if there was a flag or not on that play but damn he was FAST and he is a sack machine.

Ramsey 5 of 8 one int for 37 yards, after hearing unofficial stats it is hard to say why everyone was so down on ramsey and word is that on the radio the commentators were giving him a beat down. Now there were a few sacks and 2 being from deion which pissed redskins fans off. but 5 completions for 37 yards is under 8 yards a pass.
now Ramsey can get it done, it is amazing we are less than 1 week from redskins vs. panthers

Bowen did look good, actually great in my opinion. I'm still wondering about our WR we really do not have any height at the position. When we have to face some tough bulky corners I'm wondering bout that.Anyone who was there what did you think about the bootleg play with Ramsey. He clearly looked uncomfortable doing it. Had happy feet, not a surprise though. I don't know if I want him running the bootleg he just doesn't have the decpetiveness like some of these other guys. Hey, but who knows that could be the last thing the defense could be looking for.

I agree--the O-line is the key to it all. Remember--Rypien only got sakced like 9 times in '91. That's how you cure happy feet, and get a guy to look all over the field: he's not worried about getting his bell rung. This also may be the biggest thing that's changed since GIbbs left: the constant agressive blitzing. I beleive Gibbs and Buges will get it straight, and the o-line will gel, but it'll take some time.

Taylor Jacobs... tisk ..tisk...tisk....softy? He may be potentially greatest receiver (according to Champ B.) to never be great.
This guy will get cut if he misses yet another preseason. C'mon Jacobs your chances are running out, suck it up.
