Much as I love listening to Gibbs every time he talks, whenever coach Williams says something, I get so fired up I feel like punching a hole in the wall. Here's a sample of some of his latest stuff--from skins.com:

From the Sidelines With Gregg Williams (http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=8480)

I love his comment about Taylor: "The biggest thing I have to do, and I take it personally, is getting him to live here next off-season. But I have a lot more on my mind before that happens."

The only downside about having a coordinator this good is that he'll likely be a head coach for someone else soon. That's life in the NFL, I'm afraid. Let's hope that Danny-boy gives him the moon to hang around until Gibbs steps upstairs to the FO. If not, Greg Blache will be a great coach, but Williams is one-of-a-kind. :headbange

LDS gave Coach Williams the moon when he and HOF Coach Gibbs hired him. Coach Williams makes more than some NFL HCs!

My guess is HOF Coach Gibbs is out by year 4 or 5, and Coach Williams takes over.

Mind you, I'm not wishing such a thing, just guessing.

He's big on Walt Harris too. I like to hear that.

DW has kids in school and loves the DC area, so I wouldn't look for him to leave anytime soon. I agree that the most likely scenario is a secession, with DW taking over for Gibbs at some later date. In fact, I think I remember some news source intimating rumors last year that Snyder had essentially told Doug this was the gameplan, although this might just be a creation of my mind. Certainly makes sense though. The Buffalo debacle notwithstanding, DW is head coach material and will be succesful as such, whether its here or somewhere else. Bellicheck didn't get it right the first time either...

Gregg Williams will most likely be the Head Coach once Gibbs leaves....that might have been part of the agreement for him to come, I dunno. Gibbs is just plain awesome, but he won't be Coach forever, and I think Williams will take over.

I really like that scenario, though it will be tough when teams come calling.

It is so great to have a D we can be proud of again. Now if the O can just get it going....!

My friend is a DIE-HARD Bills fan and he remembers hearing reports of G. Williams starting training camp in B-lo with 14 two-a-days! Average amount that year was something like 8!! He also, would wake up the players in the early a.m. drill sargent style, yelling, screaming, etc ... I thought that was damn-funny!

Yeah, if we can keep the same caliber defense as we did last year and get the offense going (which I have a good feeling we will). This'll be a really good year.

Haha, I bet the Bills players were real excited to go to camp.

gibbs said in some press conferences last year that when he hired GW he made sure they agreed the williams would be here for the long haul, so i think Gibbs is honestly concerned with long term health (unlike parcells who's going all out to win now)... gibbs picked what will hopefully be our next great coach for forever (dude is young for a coach), he's given GW everything he's wanted (full defensive control, 2 top ten picks on defense, and he even threw in a young talented rb and a quaterback of the future, just in case).

that, of course, would be the ideal situation at least.
