Hey all,
Just wanted to give you another update on our upcoming charity flag football game. We have good news and bad news.
The good news is that Joe and I have gotten at least verbal commitments not only from the Good Samaritan Foundation (founded by former Skins Charles Mann, Art Monk, Tim Johnson, and Ernest Byner), but also former Redskin Tony McGee (and his show Redskins Journal) and the Redskins Alumni Association (Mark Mosley is the president) to be a major part of this event.
They all love the idea and think it's a clever plan we've come up with to raise money.
With this in mind though, we all have agreed to postpone the game until the spring time. This way we do it right and it gives us plenty of time to get sponsors, find a location...get in football shape.
This is something that the Good Samaritan Foundation and Redskins Alumni Association are interested in doing on a yearly basis so we want to make absolutely sure the first one is perfect. September is just too early to do that
So bottom line. The game is on and we've got some big names attached to it, but we're pushing it back to spring time.
