Hey all,

Just wanted to give you another update on our upcoming charity flag football game. We have good news and bad news.

The good news is that Joe and I have gotten at least verbal commitments not only from the Good Samaritan Foundation (founded by former Skins Charles Mann, Art Monk, Tim Johnson, and Ernest Byner), but also former Redskin Tony McGee (and his show Redskins Journal) and the Redskins Alumni Association (Mark Mosley is the president) to be a major part of this event.

They all love the idea and think it's a clever plan we've come up with to raise money.

With this in mind though, we all have agreed to postpone the game until the spring time. This way we do it right and it gives us plenty of time to get sponsors, find a location...get in football shape.

This is something that the Good Samaritan Foundation and Redskins Alumni Association are interested in doing on a yearly basis so we want to make absolutely sure the first one is perfect. September is just too early to do that

So bottom line. The game is on and we've got some big names attached to it, but we're pushing it back to spring time.

Actually I'd prefer that. It would be a welcome football diversion in spring time.

That may work out well for some of the sponsors I have spoken with as well.

Let me also take a quick moment to thank all of you, such as BrudLee and Redskins_P, who have been helping us to get sponsors and secure a location for us.

This is going to be a total team effort, no question about it

Hey TAFKAS, do you guys have a Wegmans down in the DC area?? I'm from Rochester where the headquarters for the company is, and they are ussually very good about helping provide things for charitable events such as this, as long as their name is attached. If there are Wegmans in your area, it might be somthing they would consider and I could write a letter. Although if you dont ahve one, they might not be up for it. Let me know if you have one down there, becasue the headquarters is right up the street and i'd write a letter or somthin.

GMANC, I know we have one in northern VA. The location for the game will most likely be in northern VA as well, so that does sound like a good idea.

TAFKAS, what do you think?
