I just don't like the fact that they think they shot a "Muslim-looking" person in London.
When people are asked about their race they don't have lists like:
African American
Asian American
Caucasian
Muslim
Being a Muslim is a religion, not a race, am I correct?

Yes, you are correct Muslim is a religion, but they also kinda do the same thing with Jewish people too...

I'm just saying they shouldn't be all worried because they look "Muslim". Be WORRIED if you're wearing a HUGE trenchcoat when the weather is in the 70s and you don't stop when the police ask you to.

Your right, but it seems that they will probably always be sterotyped.
You know what really bothers me with the media? Anytime they reference terrorists they will often show Muslims praying, I really think it's irresponsible and it only feeds into the Western belief that all Muslims are terrorists.
These terrorists are extremists, radical Muslims that shouldn't be lumped in with all Muslims.

No doubt about that. It also takes more than a call to the American/British people to stop fighting the terrorists. It also takes part in the Muslim community if they don't want to be stereotyped. They have to be examples for their religion. I mean I'm a Christian and if someone gives me their Christian extremist beliefs I'm the FIRST person to give them a good bitching (not like it helps). But if people, and I mean any extremist group, don't hear from their own kind how wrong they are, how is it ever gonna stop?

When I read that it said an "Asian looking person". They must have changed it.
I wonder iuf the unusual plain clothed police were actually an Israeli counter-terrorism task force. I know people who have been to Israel and they say if someone on the street starts telling you to do something, you comply immediately. They get hit so much in Israel that its a numbers game. When they percieve a possible threat, it gets eliminated one way or another. No compliance = green light for any force necessary.
If England has brought in guys, or policies that are parelell to these practices, they might want to let the citizens know.

Definitely. I think that type of stuff though on the UK's part is the first step to a true Holy War. It's a tough situation, I mean it's hard to build relations with the Islamic world when MANY of them want nothing to do with anything Western and it's also hard to alienate them.
