The real question is how much of a distraction will this be to the Redskins. Court date the day after the season opener as well.

Outstanding! So much for the charges being dropped. So does this mean he is going to be done for the year?

Sounds like he's ok for this season

Taylor is still expected to be present for the first day of training camp, July 31, at Redskins Park. Because of continuances -- adjournments of a court case to a future dates for various reasons -- Taylor's trial is likely to be postponed until after the 2005 NFL season, which ends in January.

It sounds like he's good for this season but he could be gone for three years. My question is if he does have to serve the three years or more how will his salery effect our salery cap. I would think we have a clause in his contract for these matters. Can anyone shed light on the matter? What a wast!

For a first offense I think he'll be able to avoid doing time... but then again I know nothing about the legal system!

According to espn.com the charge carries a 3 year minimum sentence, so we'll see what happens.
