He said in his interview with L.M. that he believes Patrick can be a premier QB in the NFL, keep in mind that Joey T. has been less than favorable in his comment's toward's our QB's since he retired.

Like him or hate him, the man can analyze and break down the game as well as anyone in the buisness. Very encouraging for Patrick.

I think we are going to see a very efficient Ramsey this year. If he can really get comfortable, watch out!!

You are correct, sir. Joe T. can break it down. And...
Why would any Redskin fan not like Joey T? 1983 NFL MVP, hated the friggin' cowpukes with a passion, made the play of the game in Super Bowl 17 (Excluding the Riggins run, of course) when he knocked down a sure interception for a TD. Joey T. was underrated and underappreciated.
His comments about Ramsey are VERY encouraging. He doesn't blow sunshine up anyone's ass.

Joey T is not the best evaluator of talent, let's not get carried away here.

This article sure sounds encouraging

"He's been terrific," Musgrave said. "He knows our system like the back of his hand, and he's got an incredibly strong arm. So he's had a real good May and June."

"I certainly feel as confident as I've ever been as a quarterback in the NFL," said Ramsey, who completed a career-high 62 percent and started seven games last season. "It's also time for me to play my best. That's what I'm working everyday to get to."

"If you ask me, Patrick is night and day from last year," tailback Clinton Portis said yesterday. "I think Pat stepped in last year at a time when we needed a spark, and he performed well. This year you look at Pat, and he looks like Peyton Manning. He's not Peyton Manning, but the difference in him [is] the leadership role, where he's putting the ball and his accuracy, the patience he has now. You could say that he's comfortable."

That WP article is very encouraging. Glad to hear that Ramsey finally knows he is the unquestioned leader of this team and is taking the the drivers seat with confidence.
As for Joey T, he always props up the Skins so I don't take him too seriously when it comes to our team. He used to say every year that Norv was going to surprise everybody with a playoff run. He is a good analyst when doing the games but his predictions are about as good as your local weatherman's.
