When it comes to looking ahead, focus of the team should revolve around stopping the run. Completely unacceptable most of season. I’d also say a rebuild in our running game and not relying constantly on JD5.unfortunately DQ's defenses in Dallas were bad at the run too. I hope they figure it out.

It’s hard for me to pinpoint where the failing is on run D. Obviously a younger Wagner type would help a lot. Is it possible that our DBs aren’t reacting to the run fast enough? Do our linemen get tied up too quickly, pressing into blocks rather than fighting them off with better hand technique? Do we need one true monster to draw double/triple teams, freeing up other B+ players? How much is coaching/scheming?

Yes to the fact that we need a true edge rusher to tie ppl up... Payne being out definitely didn't help but also he's not setting the edge on that first td.

It does leave more questions than answers imo like you're saying... I also hope they figure it out.

very simple we don't have enough elite talent to make up for mistake after mistake .. the reason we got this far was a ELITE QB ! We had to play mistake free to have a shot. We will have a better roster next year and no reason we can't get back to playoffs . I'm very optimistic

We need to sweep the Eagles next year. I hate that team.

DLINE . . . DT's are push/rush pass rushers, not good at occupying multiple blockers and clogging up the middle DE's are not good at setting an edge in the running game. They all need to be replaced.

Allen is gone for sure. But if you are ever looking for talent in Free agency for interior Dline, this is a good year for it. The contract of Panye is unmovable.

You could see from them basically bring guys from off the street to play DT they want a different talent there.

And yeah, they don’t have DE that set the edge. They actually rotated Payne out to DE to try it at the end of the year.

You have all the right stepping stones for a great team in the future and just a few additions and you will be there.
