That is exactly how I feel. Its my birthday today and that was THE most fantastic early present, especially after The Bears scored and I was thinking "that's my birthday ruined then".

You would probably have heard my shout when it happened from across Birmingham. I certainly woke the Mrs up! 😁

Putting the miracle play aside, there are a few things that the team will need to assess this week.

Our defense played pretty well, for the most part. I loved the Payne & Newton combo, like someone (I forgot who) said in other thread yesterday, it seems like this combo played together better than Payne & Allen combo. Our secondary, well there's nothing more that needs to be said as we all already know that the secondary especially CB needs upgrade. The defense played well enough to keep us in the game and it would have been dominant if Caleb didn't wiggle out of a few sacks.

Our offense wasn't good as before, but that's to be expected against a pretty good defense, plus JD's injury. Although, we were in red zone 5-6 times and we couldn't score a TD. The false start penalties didn't help. I know we have been pretty good with red zone most of time but we must find a way to take advantage of those opportunities when we play against good defenses. Hopefully Lucas's injury isn't serious or we will get Coleman back for the next game.

I think it goes to the make up of the team. Bit like some of the the best teams through the years; if you can win when you play badly (though in this case we were not THAT bad), then look out everyone when you're playing well.

We should be discussing the ongoing problem with plays getting in late. It costs us 2 more timeouts yesterday only they were 2nd half timeouts. Timeouts that could have been utilized by the defense at the end and given Jayden more time on the final drive. This has to be fixed.

Cosmi being too far downfield and far away from the play that would have put the game away was so frustrating. Gotta clean this up.

Regarding Caleb Williams, it was clear the kid has talent. He can escape well and run. He also has a great arm. However, this is the NFL. He was inaccurate on many passes, and it was noticeable he did not like staying in the pocket. He'll have to improve both to be successful in this league.

Jayden and Commanders deserved to win this game. Justice served.

I thought Caleb was shaky at best but he extended some plays and got the Bears going at the end of the game. He just doesn't look comfortable yet.

He just doesn't look comfortable yet.I honestly think he prefers strongly throwing out of the pocket than within it. It is a huge reason why he went #1 is because he's really good at it. NFL defenses are too fast do it with success regularly.

I was in the house for it! My first game down there since 2017. When the crowd erupted it was like a bomb went off, I never high fived or hugged so many strangers in my life! lol
