PorkSkins 10-20-2024, 09:12 PM Ain’t no more code red trap games, that shit is history
Hats off to this team getting it done across the board
Don’t want to hear anything about Carolina being a shit team, good teams hammer bad ones, nothing to apologize for today
In bold: I'm totally in agreement.
calia 10-20-2024, 09:14 PM Damn, I wanted the shutout.
Me too! I’m can’t recall the last one of those.
Still, 421 yards to 180 and a 33 point victory is awesome. They took care of business today.
Hope the Daniels injury is minor and that he comes back hungry next week. The Bears will be a far stiffer test.

Chief X_Phackter 10-21-2024, 02:18 AM 5-2 is so great. I am a little concerned that, after 7 weeks, we don't have a win against a team that currently has a winning record. But, as they say, you can only play who is in front of you, and some of these have been wins 'going away' - so that definitely means something.
Three of the next four games will be against teams with winning records (CHI, PIT, PHI). Hopefully, JD is good to go for the Caleb / Jayden showdown next week! Also, the Steelers/Eagles combo will be a big test as it's a Sunday/Thursday turnaround.
Should be a fun stretch!
Chief X_Phackter 10-21-2024, 03:05 AM But, kudos for navigating through the Code Red Trap Game, mostly without Jayden.
How about Mariota? 18/23, 205 yards, 2TDs, 0 INTs
It was pretty obvious he was prepared. A little 'rusty' at first, but for the most part he came in and the offense didn't skip a beat.
AnonEmouse 10-21-2024, 05:02 AM You got 4 out of 5.
The roster is a work in progress but it’s nice to have adult making decisions
Good not great. The roster has to be good to get to 5-2. Great would likely have us 7-0. But it's a place to build from, far better than anticipated at this point.
Darrell Green Fan 10-21-2024, 07:30 AM I'm going to assume Jayden's injury is not serious and that he will play next week. Not sure what drew me to this conclusion but that's how I feel.
I have no problem wth the design runs, Baltimore runs a ton of them and they aren't scared of injury.
If this is the case that was a perfect game yesterday. Well other than the fact that I only got to see JD play a handful of plays. I didn't like the Marriotta signing, and for the first few possessions I saw why. But I'd much rather be wrong to a bunch of strangers on a message board and have the backup QB play very well. I do agree yesterday was important live game action for him.
So with all that said it was impressive that they could win a laugher without Daniels, this will serve notice to the rest of the league that this actually is a good team.
Chico23231 10-21-2024, 08:06 AM Defense with a nice bounce back yesterday after the previous week’s performance.
If we could play Carolina every week, I’d be comfortable starting Mariota going forward…just glad JD is good.
Brummie Brave 10-21-2024, 08:11 AM Well, well, well how times have changed... after a blow out win I'm still disappointed that
1. We allowed them to score
2. We didn't put up 50
Mariota worried me to begin with but he came good, yeah it's only Carolina but you can only beat what's in front of you. Hope JD5 will be good to go on Sunday.
mooby 10-21-2024, 08:30 AM Based off JD's body language in the second half he should be fine for next week. Just hope he uses this as a learning opportunity to avoid unnecessary hits.
Nice to see Mariota play so well, I was worried initially but once he shook the rust off he played fine.
Also nice to see our defense cause a couple turnovers and put some points on the board.
Also nice to see the team rally around Mariota.
Overall a nice game and also nice to see the team easily beat teams that should be easily beaten. On to the next one.

Should be a fun stretch!Chicago hasn't beaten any one of note either so this 4-2 against 5-2 game coming up is going to be really telling us to how these two teams stack up in the league. Excited as hell to see if we can go 6 - 2 that would be amazing.
