I think we all felt that way, they were a very aggressive defense early and took away so much that had been working. We hadn't faced a player like Garrett and if the ESPN box score is to be believed he had a complete shutout. I know I don't remember hearing his name.

Now I don't fear any team, bring them on.

Garrett has a foot injury.(I think).

He played though, and he did nothing.

C. Lucas had like an 88 PFF score. The OLine is beyond exceeding expectations. They are playing damn good football.

wtf has happened to Watson? he is horrible. i can't imagine that clev is going to keep going w/ him too much longer.
He has regressed a ton and I think a lot of it is his legal issues. There are some new negative developments with this. Yes he was not good at all yesterday nor as fast. He needs to see the bench asap and stay there despite the contract.

You see how good JD is after you see how poorly Marcus Mariota played. Sure he cam off the bench but he was negative 2 yards for the day.

FF makes a good point here. JD is a mobile QB that has improved in taking less-impactful hits as compared to the first Tampa game. However, with that said, a better backup that could run the offense should be a priority for WHEN, not if, JD gets nicked.

Mariotta was the only concern I had after after yesterday's game. Not asked to do anything of import, and did less than that. A little insurance at this point would not be a bad idea.

Mariotta is coming off an injury, which why it was probably nice that he got some snaps. He was probably shaking the rust off a bit.

Mariota is a 'more than serviceable' QB2. Ideally, we don't see him on the field much this year, but that was a great opportunity to get him some snaps.

The way JD is playing, no one is going to come in and do what he does. There will be a drop off at that position (obviously). However, if DQ can get Mariota some game snaps when these opportunities arise, that will help.

I'd rather Sam Hartman be QB2 and keep Mariota as essentially a 2nd QB coach for the young guys. Mariota just isn't very good.
