lose one game and the sky is falling. If we won it'd be superbowl or bust?

Yeah, not a lot of middle ground in here usually on Sunday evenings/Monday mornings.

I'm not sure what the expectations were, but anyone who thought a 4-win team was going to go into a legit playoff team's house on opening day with a new everything and win, was just fooling themselves.

There were some breakdowns in the secondary, some stupid and untimely penalties, and JD looked like a rookie. Other than that, I actually thought the team was competitive and that was all I was hoping for in week 1.

Lotta work to do.

Not surprised. Had a feeling. Bet the feeling same with the browns game..

ZEROOOOOO pressure 90% of the game
ZEROOOOOO creativity on D ... no stunts, no blitzes, nothing 90% of the game
ZEROOOOOO o-line 90% of the game

And our corners sucked 99% of the game.

All concerns we all know existed, I was sad to get blown out, but ZEROOOOOO surprise here.

6 wins maybe for this team.

We didn't play best game, while Bucs played a great game, which made a bad combination for us. Evidently, we have a lot of work to do and I expect the team to improve throughout the season. Although I'm very concerned about our CBs and kicker. It seems like Forbes was benched at one point. And York, just find someone else before this Sunday so we can get our 7th round pick back.

Agreed.

All I cared about this game, aside from a potential win, is to see how JD performed. He didn't turn the ball over, had some decent numbers, and overall did not look like a deer looking at the headlights out there.

Our roster is bad and couldn't have been fixed in one offseason. And yes, RR f*cked up, but if he hadn't we wouldn't be here with a new ownership. So people should quit beating that dead horse.

Looking forward to the next game, I want to see growth from this team.

whole new staff, over 50% roster change (and still missing a couple parts that we knew about going in) and this is the first time out (with a rookie QB). It's a recipe for a slow start. (It's also possible the bills are good, but more likely CB play is just going to be an issue all year).

we'll see how week 2, 3, 5,and 7 work out.

Voice of reason.

Well, it could be worse. I just saw a crazy stat - Daniel Jones has thrown more pick 6s than TDs since signing his deal.

Will be interesting to see how the team (D in particular) responds next week.

We changed out 34 players on last year's roster. True we could have made it 35 and gotten rid of Forbes but Who were you going to replace them with Someone older who probably has lost a step Or an unproven fourth round rookie That just weren't enough slots and talent in the system to replace everything and for whatever reason they decided to leave Forbes and St. Juste probably because they have talent and that they could coach them up, which is a big Mistake that coaches often make

I have faith in Peters to talent evaluate. I am leaning that it has to do with where and when they want to spend the money. We could've replaced Forbes and St Juste now but maybe there are talents becoming FA next offseason or even eyeballing in a trade that would be better fits. Rookie contracts etc etc

In general to the There is a lot to like from what I saw while yes still being disappointed in the product. I would've loved to seen Terry get more targets than 4. Defense I would've loved to see them get off the field after 3rd downs but on 61 plays they had 1 sack, 8 TFL, 2 PD, 4 QB hits. That is pressure on 25% of plays IDK what the league average is but it is better than Tampa
