Have to ask these questions, since this thread is mainly about DJT:

Giantone, are there any of Trump's policies that you like?

Chico, is there anything about Trump, from a policy or personal perspective, that you dislike? Do you think the 2020 election was stolen? Do you think Trump, aside from the court challenges, behaved appropriately from election day 2020 to Inauguration Day 2021?

I disagree with a decent amount of things Trump did and some policies.
Not really big on Tariffs he put on China on some sectors. I completely understand the talk now is simply bargaining for trade deals. I was completely pissed by the pandering to Putin on world stage at press conference first term. Spending packages weren’t exactly inline with small federal government. I thought the Covid spending didn’t make sense when he sent checks to everyone. I think he missed opportunities in South America to rally against Venazula by partnering with other countries, but now he has a forward thinking leader in Argentina who has crushed all socialist economic theory to work with now.

I don’t think 2020 was stolen per se, but without a doubt he had elements within the fed government working with big tech against the trump campaign. Trump lost the 2020 campaign due to Covid, he didn’t communicate well enough and didn’t rally folks the right way. Look, did he behave well enough? You have to remember, democrats and the media lied tried to remove him from office on 2 completely bogus events…Russian collusion hoax (which found nothing and was an false premise based on Steele dossier and democrat Alfa bank campaign hoax) and a phone call placed to Ukraine asking to research the possible corruption that Biden just pardoned his son for…? Ironic. What happens Jan 6 th was a disgrace, but trump asked for national guard which was denied by Nancy Pelosi as well as the Democratic mayor of DC. They are to blame as well.

Overall trump 1st presidency was a success, country was in a much better place and the world for that matter sans an epidemic leaked from a lab.

Chico, thank you for the reasonable response.

I think therell always be some debate about responsibility for Jan 6. I personally dont think it shouldve come down to ordering the National Guard, and there was no need for Trump to hold his rally on certification day, but he just couldnt help himself.

Overall, I agree that Trump wouldve gotten reelected if not for covid. It seems in recent history incumbents stand a good chance atvreelection unless things are going seriously wrong like they were for Carter with inflation or Iran, or if you have a political rock star like Clinton running against Bush Sr. Trump of couse as you noted didnt handle covid well fron a PR perspective, and Biden exacerbated which he surely knew was going to be an inflationary environment, as well as just being too damn old to run for another term.

What are you talking about, I’m specifically talking about the reaction of praise from liberals who are celebrating a father who was shot in the back while waking down the street. You posted an article looking to justify it. It’s completely disgusting

It’s a new low for democrats and the left

LOL, spin is the only way you can justly your ignorance. You made claims and still do it was "liberal's" that did this . I posted an artical saying it could be anyone of over 50 million people and no where does it mention Democrats or the left as you claim. At no point have I condoned this but you aren't one for facts, you're so ignorant you don't even know what a liberal is.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/outgoing-treasury-sec-yellen-sorry-we-havent-made-more-progress-believes-deficit-must-decreased

Outgoing Treasury Sec. Yellen 'sorry that we haven't made more progress,' believes deficit must be decreased

. "Are you sorry you couldn't make more progress on that?" he asked. Ip also asked Yellen how much risk the issue presents to the economy.
"Well I am concerned about fiscal sustainability. And I am sorry that we haven't made more progress. I believe that the deficit needs to be brought down, especially now that we're in an environment of higher interest rates," Yellen replied.

Reminder, Janet Yellen who resembles a European aristocrat male pedophille, is now concerned of the budget deficit. She fully endorsed the massive spending packages Biden passed his first couple years and then told us Inflation was not a concern with her endorsement.

While yes Trump spent money, he didn’t do the damage Biden did… Instead of simply allowing that one-time emergency COVID spending to expire, Biden and the Democratic Congress continued spending at that same COVID-era level, thus institutionalizing multitrillion-dollar deficits.

All told, Biden will likely oversee a net increase in the debt of more than $9 trillion in a single term—a new record

Financial ruin set up by Biden and democrats

He's been busy giving murderers a break and sabotaging future efforts to curb illegal immigration (ie border wall materials being liquidated). Seems like this is the modi-operandi since 2016. As much as I detest Trump (Believe he is the 2d worst President in US history) this reminds me of how bad a President Biden is as well. Juvenile level actions (which are probably actually being implemented by Biden's woke advisors as I believe Biden's mind is gone at this point).

trump lying again.....................

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2025/01/02/new-orleans-trump-blames-terrorism-open-borders/77400631007/

Without evidence, Trump blames Biden 'open borders' for 'radical Islamic terrorism'
Amid a fast-moving investigations, President-elect Donald Trump linked 'radical Islamic terrorism' to 'open borders.'

Federal investigators said the suspect in the New Orleans attack, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who killed 14 people and left dozens injured was a Texas-born U.S. citizen and Army veteran.

Police fatally shot Jabbar after he rammed a truck carrying an ISIS flag into a crowd of New Year's Eve revelers on Bourbon Street early Wednesday.

Deputy Assistant FBI Director Christopher Raia on Thursday said investigators believe Jabbar acted alone to execute a premeditated "act of terrorism" that was "100% inspired by ISIS," referring to the Islamic State terrorist organization.
