Camp recently started and some observations noted below:

1) Jayden Daniels looking sharp so far. Love the work ethic and seemingly lack of entitlement, not needing to be named the starter yet.

2) Jordan Magee looking strong. He's mentioned in nearly every defensive write up. Kid likely starts. Davis probably used situationally to rush passer or cut.

3) Forbes has put some weight on. Probably needs to put more on, but this is a step in the right direction. Cannot ignore his ability to be a ballhawk, but rookie season was rough. Huge year for him and many others.

Wanting to see this team with at least a winning record this year as a minimum goal.

I grow increasingly optimistic with each report out of camp. It's early but this is all the info we have to date and Jayden appears to be looking great. I am getting excited at the reports on players like Magee, I totally expect this group to find gems in the middle rounds and this could be one of them. Johnny Newton's rapid return was a great surprise now I feel he will have an impact where as before I was concerned he would miss camp and kind of lose his rookie season.

Kid could be a monster. Most had a 1st rd grade on him prior to the injury.

The way Finlay/co are talking Jamin Davis might not even make the roster, apparently he hasn't been looking great as a pass rusher. Sucks but if the staff feels like they can't save him it's best for us to move on.

That's unfortunate, I was kinda hoping the plan was to showcase him in pre-season and hope some team might bite and we'd get something for him. :(

Watch the latest Hard Knocks offseason with NYG; they wanted JD5 so bad, they were in love with him leading up to the draft

Quan Martin taking most starting Safety reps, more first-team reps for Marcus Mariota, Mike Sainristil stands out (https://www.hogshaven.com/2024/7/29/24208559/open-practice-takeaway-martin-taking-starting-safety-reps-more-first-team-for-mariota-sainristil)

This is the kid that Nick Saban said "may be the best football player in the draft pound for pound." I expect significant improvement in the entire back 7 of the defense this year. Pretty woeful last year.
