I see that the Bears already named Caleb the starter. Curious why we aren't doing the same? Or maybe it'll come soon. I do not want to see Mariota, like ever. All the first team reps should go to Daniels from day one.

I think it is ridiculous to name anyone the starter at this point. What happened to earning that title in camp and in the preseason? If someone is so fragile that they need to hear that to perform than they probably have issues. Not saying CW needed to hear that. Im talking about every single player on every single roster.

It's safe to assume they watched the tape, there's no way they don't know that Lucas/Wylie/etc. are garbage. Two routes here - either they think they can fix them or they are hoping to make more moves.

I think it's both. The new system, new QB, and new coaching will hopefully help - but they will always be looking for upgrades.

that's why we drafted the bigger slower guys (sinnot, mccaffrey) and signed ekeler. It really feels like there's some potential to be good this year.

McCaffrey running a 4.3 40 is slow?

Even B Sinnott is not "slow" for a TE. 4.68 is ok...not the fastest, but fast enough.

4.47 at the combine. And in today's NFL, yes, that's slow.

4.48 is average for nfl wr’s. So technically he is above average even if slightly but I certainly wouldn’t call it slow.

TE is 4.70 so same can be said for Sinnott. Slightly above average.

McCaffrey is a slot receiver anyway. He doesn’t have to be fast necessarily but quick. The cone drill and shuttle are better tests for a slot guy and he was in the 90 percentile range for both.

I'm much more interested in what these dudes can do on the field in pads, than how they performed in the Underwear Olympics.

Being a K State fan, I've watched a lot of Sinnott. I am so glad we drafted him. JD will love this guy. We all will.

slower than terry is what I meant. yes, a 4.5 at wr is absolutely fine at a slot guy (with quickness), jerry rice ran slower and had a great career, etc.

Kid is tough, has hands, runs good routes and has a wonderful habit of making super catches around multiple defenders. Hard to believe with his bloodlines he won't be pretty good. Interested to see how much pt he gets as a rook.

Luke McCaffrey has the second best 3 cone drill time among WR.

The 3-cone drill at the NFL Combine, also known as the L-drill, is designed to measure speed, agility, change of direction, body control among other traits

Perfect for slot type WR
