If I'm Burns, I'd want to go to a contender team.

EdmundDorf 03-11-2024, 07:07 PM If I'm Burns, I'd want to go to a contender team. Don't think he gets much choice if he wants to be paid, Giants going to blowup their cap again. EdmundDorf 03-11-2024, 07:11 PM CB on the move.. Tom Pelissero Trade! The #Lions are acquiring CB Carlton Davis from the #Bucs, per source. EdmundDorf 03-11-2024, 08:14 PM Giants give Burns a 5 year $150m contract. Is it just me , he feels like one of those guys who will slack off after getting paid, or at least wont live up to the contract. I wasn't all that eager for us to sign him to a big deal like this. Chief X_Phackter 03-11-2024, 08:42 PM A lot of interior linemen going off the board today, and no tackles as of yet - that I'm aware of. nonniey 03-11-2024, 08:42 PM So a pro bowler in 2022 who has only allowed like 4 sacks in his career and is 26 isnt a great signing? I meant not great in that he has an average ranking among starters (PFF ranks him 14 at center). My point is we can't target the best at every position, so the signing was a good one (heck maybe even great one), as he is most definitely a massive upgrade. nonniey 03-11-2024, 08:46 PM Niiiiccceee per shefter Former Panthers LB @frankluvu7 agreed to terms on a 3-year deal with the @commanders for a maximum value of $36 million. The deal was confirmed by agent @blakebaratz at @teamifa. Best FA acquisition for the Skins in years given the price. He was the #1 rated middle LB available in free agency in almost all the lists I've seen. AnonEmouse 03-11-2024, 09:13 PM Saw this on Yahoo! Sports: "The legal tampering period of NFL free agency begins Monday at noon ET, and we should expect New England Patriots free agent offensive lineman Mike Onwenu to be a coveted player. Onwenu is not only a tremendous player based on his on-field performance over the last four years, he's also a very versatile player with his ability to excel at both tackle and guard. Mike Giardi of the Boston Sports Journal reported Monday that the Washington Commanders, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens are among the teams believed to be interested in Onwenu." I hope we can get this deal done. Owenu could lock down our RT position for years to come. He's 26 years old. Can play either OG position as well. Re-signed with the Pats 3yrs $57M. I wanted us to go after him. If not the answer at LT, he could have at least anchored the right side with Cosmi. And he's young. :| Got to think we're looking at one of the remaining T's because there's no guarantee we'll get a starting T in the draft. nonniey 03-11-2024, 09:24 PM Re-signed with the Pats 3yrs $57M. Damn was one of my top 3 targets I wanted for the Skins (Got one in Luvu). Hunter is still out there and we still need an edge rusher. Depth isn't too good at OT in free agency though. Smith for 1 year??? AnonEmouse 03-11-2024, 09:32 PM I would look at Smith. Guess it hinges on a medical. If he looks strong enough to last a year, we could draft a RT with a view to moving them to LT if they look good. Or keeps options open for '25 draft at least. |
