I don't get how the Eagles always have cap space despite spending a lot each year...

As Andrew Brandt says, first-ballot Business of Football HOF'er:

@AdamSchefter
Compensation update: Falcons are giving QB Kirk Cousins a four-year, $180 million deal including $100 million guaranteed, per source. It’s $45 million per average per year.

They kick a lot of guaranteed money to later years.

I do feel that the Iggles are in a bit of desperation mode and going all out in acquiring all of these FAs.

Because the Hurts and AJ Brown figures haven't caught up with them yet. They are still manageable but in a couple years it will balloon to something they can't manage.

Their roster is relatively cheap all things considered. Jason Kelce retiring is going to help them with the cap as well.

Just name the business of sports Hall after Kirk.

@spotrac
With $100M guaranteed on his 4 year, $180M contract with the #Falcons, Kirk Cousins has now ensured over $330M in career earnings.

Kirk Cousins' bank account is elite.

C: Tyler Biadasz (Dallas) expected to be signed by Washington.

Per: Multiple Sources

Well, not great, but certainly an improvement over last years' signing, Gates, who we knew sucked at the time we signed him (or at least everyone not named Ron did) and Larsen. He is average (which is Ok - can't get stars everywhere).

Armstrong signing was good now hopefully we can get Hunter to pair with him.

Interesting to see where Fields lands now with Atlanta and Pittsburgh (presumably) out of the market. Bears options are reducing

I think it is a bit funny that in the past 10 years, the only "big money" QBs to have ever won a Super Bowl have been Stafford with the Rams (2022), Manning with the Broncos (2016) and Brady with the Bucs (2020).

Aside from that, the other winners have been:

* Brady with the Pats (2015, 2017, and 2019) - who we know was underpaid in NE.

* Wilson with the Seahawks (2014) - he was still in his rookie contract I believe.

* When the Iggles won in 2017, Foles was their backup, and Wentz (who took them there) was in his rookie contract.

* And the three wins by the Chiefs have been with Mahomes in his rookie contact and with the team friendly 10-year deal he is currently in.
