This guy turned down interviews with multiple franchises - it was up to him where he wanted to work. Just look at these quotes: “I think that if you’re a team looking this year, to put it bluntly, you would be dumb to look anywhere else,” an NFL agent said as part of The Athletic’s annual agent survey. “I think he is the best in the business.” .... Agents also voted Peters among the league’s talent evaluators and front-office leaders they trust the most, rare mentions for non-general managers. He tied for first in the “Future GM to Watch” category. This is a guy who has legitimate credentials. Not just a trusted name amongst people who work in the industry, a guy tied for #1 on a survey about future GM's to watch. It's one thing to be praised by the media, it's another thing to be praised by your peers. We always say it but it feels different this time around. Can't wait to see how he shapes the staff. FrenchSkin 01-12-2024, 07:18 PM Always hard to judge GM hires IMO, but I like that we landed a rather young man, not an aging flashy shiny name that every casual fan knows, coming from an excellent organisation, and like Mooby said, who likely had other options. If we can land a good HC, we'll know the regime change has been acknowledged across the league.
