It’s hard to believe how bare a cupboard RR left behind. Just horrible. That’s why we have like 40 new faces.

RR the GM was way more destructive to the commanders then RR the HCAgreed. He was fired by Carolina and Snyder, basically, begged him to come and gave him both roles. Snyder's reputation was already destroyed and was barely given the time of day by anyone else for the jobs.

Rivera is one of the worst "GMs" in NFL history. Incompetent from front to back. An absolute disaster.
But you know what, all roads of shit have lead us to new ownership, new HC, and new front office. And a possible franchise QB. So fuck it, let's ride.

Sounds like we made a great move signing Dylan Thompson away from the Texans...
"Why would Thompson leave the Texans?
I guess the biggest question is: Why did Thompson depart? The young players like Stroud, Anderson Jr. and others have spoken glowingly about how he’s helped their transition to the pros, both on and off the field.
Receiver Nico Collins has worked off to the side with the former quarterback Thompson since they both arrived in 2021 and continued into this offseason. Collins could be seen yearly, working on different types of catches to fine-tune his game.
While Thompson may not be the main reason why Collins blossomed into the talent that he’s become, it does illustrate his value in different facets.
Three years in Detroit followed by three years in Houston. Maybe he felt his path had run its course in the bayou city and he was looking for a new challenge. It may have been due to business or personal. We may never know.
What we do know is that the Texans lost a talent from their organization today and a great person. Washington deserves kudos for adding Thompson as he’s an ideal get if you’re looking to spread enthusiasm and character through an organization with plans on a culture change."

I'm not ready to give up on Dotson but last year was disappointing. Huge year for him. Yes would have loved Hamilton. Kid is bigtime.
This is my opinion as well. Not every draft pick produces instantly.
I'm not giving up on Dotson but with a good qb and a good coordinator this is a make or break year for him. Another underwhelming year and it makes it easier to move on.
I remember day one when he said he walks around with a ball so he never drops passes - last year he dropped too many passes for my liking too. If he can't figure it out by his 3rd year at some point we'll have to move on. But I'm not quite there yet.

Brown is interesting with his deep ball ability which is a huge strength of Daniels. Also eager to see what McCaffrey can do. Ready for camp reports soon.

Does anyone here know if the Commanders have shown any interest in Stephon Gilmore? He had a very good 2023 season and he could step right in to the defensive system here. Nice one year deal, anyone?

I've not heard anything concrete. Just that he's open to running it back with Dallas, and the Chiefs had interest. My guess is a lot of teams have interest, but he has the luxury of not having to be in a hurry to sign anywhere. Could wait until a team is desperate due to injuries. But if he were to come here, he could be a late addition since he is familiar with the system/coaches. He would instantly make the defense better.
This could be interesting
