The team announcement fleshes it a bit:
https://www.commanders.com/news/washington-commanders-name-dave-gardi-senior-vice-president-of-football-initiatives
He certainly has a good pedigree.
2 things came to my mind
1) Is there a reason he's not advanced up the league office ladder (he's been there a while)? Is this therefore a sideways/change of scenery move for him?
2) Someone should proofread these releases better - "Gardi is married to his wife, Michele, and they have two children Chase and Grayson." OK, it's picky, but who else is he going to be married to other than his wife? [emoji16]he could be married to his husband, his non-binary spouse, his dog (he was in NY after all) or a myriad of others. I, for one, was very glad that they defined who he was married to.[/sarc]
