I never understood why Rivera drafted a long snapper in the first place....this is a reflection on Ron Rivera and not the player.....

Most teams carry a long snapper on the roster as a dedicated position. Drafting a good one isn't exactly a dumb decision if you can afford the draft pick and the guy is that good. Cheeseman was that good last season. This season not so much. There was something coming out of camp that he'd changed his technique, which was a worry (if it ain't broke). Why allow him to mess with what was working? Why leave it until he really f'd up to do something. Ron aye?

I wonder if it was the coaches that asked him to change his technique but it completely screwed him up when he tried to back to the old technique. As you say, why change the technique (unless they asked him to).

Thanks again Ron. You piss poor excuse for a HC, GM, or shelf stocker at Jiffy Lube.

Nope, reports suggested he changed it himself, nothing to do with coaching. Begs the question why someone would mess up their chance at a long pro career by screwing with the fundamentals. Nick Sundberg was here 10 years; probably should have had a word with the kid.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, “cut the cheese.” He nearly got Tress Way, arguably our best player this season, filleted.

I read in WaPo that the Commanders traded up in order to draft him. Leave it to Ron to trade up for a long snapper.
