At the very least I would at least give him another full season....but if Commanders are in position to draft one of the Premier College Quarterbacks, I wouldn't be upset if they did

With JB you got a QB with experience.. Sam has looked confused .. He is young with Potential but potential doesn't win ..


Compare him to Peyton Manning in Manning's rookie year.....for someone with under 20 starts Howell has played admirably.....if the new GM decides to keep him and not move on from him he will be much more polished next season.

This. Lets see what we get with a rebuilt OL and D, and most likely a new staff before we write him off. Neither a diamond nor a cubic zirconium will float in a sea of muck.

I don't get the comparison to Peyton Manning. Peyton got a pass for his bad first season because he was the #1 overall pick. Fifth round QBs don't get that type of pass for a bad first season.
