Supplimental Draft

Do any of you guys know the details envolving the Supplimental Draft? All I can gather so far is it is July 10th, you can choose to pass on your pick, and if you pick a player in say the 2nd round you lose your 2nd rounder next year. I am interested because Clemson WR Roscoe Crosby has entered this draft. He is 6'2" 208 runs a 4.4 and was considered on of the best athletes ever in high school in 2001. He is such an amazing athlete that he was drafted in the second round by the KC Royals and would have been drafted higher but teams were afraid because he wanted to play football. After a tragic car accident that killed 3 of his friends and injured 2 others while they were going to watch his baseball game he decided to leave baseball and Clemson and enter the supplimental draft. If we could draft him in a later round I think it would definatly be worth a shot, at the least he could provide some more competition and make the practice squad.

I don't really know the details of how the supplemental draft works quite honestly. However, it's on July 14th this year (last year it was on the 10th).

But if I'm understanding you right PSUskins, the Redskins could not draft someone in the 1st round of this year's supplemental draft because then they would have to give up their 1st rounder next season..which they don't have anyway

It doesn't matter. I'm almost ceertain we'll throw away the picks we will have. How about drafting another RB/FB or even a QB? Sigh. :oink:

roscoe may be very talented but he has a serious attitude problem. he thinks he is the shit. i met one day at one of fraternity parties in spartanburg,sc he was just full of himself thinking everyone should worship the ground he walks. he might have changed it has been about 2 years so he may have grown up. he seems more like 6-1 than 6-2 cause im 6-0 and he had me by little bit of hair,

I wonder if they need any new 53 yr. old entrants? I'm slow, can't jump, and make up for it by being both old, and overweight. I know I've used up my College eligibility. I'd work for the Veterans minimimum. I'm also a Navy (Viet Nam Era) Vet!
