It is never too early to start ranking players, but whatever you do make sure you are available for the draft, JoeRedskin and his dirtbags and confirm that...

Matty, are you going to set up a random draft order like last time using Excel so that we can plan ahead of time who to take with our first pick and so on?

Actually fantasy football doesn't take as much time as any other fantasy sports simply because you only need to make changes once a week. I'd suggest doing a free league before a pay league as it takes some experience to maximize your shot at the money. Luck has a way of inserting itself and sometimes newbies light it up but I wouldn't take the chance.
