He wants to pass Shula. He's an egotistical fuck. But that's basically a requirement to be a successful HC. He won't retire until he has the record or no one will hire him.He better start winning more than 4 games a year then. Atlanta seriously? With Ridder and Heinicke? This would be like going to the athletic version of Jones/Zappe. If we don't even want him, then you know dude is WAY past his prime.

He's what 72, his options are likely limited. Don't think there's a long line of teams looking to hire someone that age.

He shouldn't go to a place like Atlanta to try to make it better. Maybe, all he does care about are his pockets and passing Shula. Just don't see him turning the Falcons into a contender anytime soon if he lands there.

Is there something in his contract that we get compensation?

Does there need to be something in his contract? If he's under contract and another team comes calling, don't they have to offer compensation to us to release him from it? Maybe unless there's specific wording about not being offered our HC position when approached?

Quinn makes me think of a younger RR, though maybe with more passion. What's he done at Dallas that makes him stand out? 2 good seasons in Atlanta but less than .500 there overall.

Personally I vote a young offensive coach that can bring in a great DC to complement him. Plus have and use an OC, not call plays himself.
