It’s weird being optimistic.
I’m actually going to enjoy the lead up to the draft and preseason.

Commanders have started virtual interviews with head-coaching candidates. Ravens assistant head coach/defensive line Anthony Weaver was set to have his today, per source.

I thought they were both candidates for the GM position. If one of them becomes President of Football Ops, could that mean Martin Mayhew might keep his job as GM?

From what i was just listening to on the Hoffman Show (or whatever the hell its called), now they both have to be interviewed by Magic and Rales, then it will be determined if they hire one or both . . .

Who would have thought, people that come from winning organizations want to come and work here. My how things have changed.

It’s down to Peters and Cunningham for President of Football operations per everyone

Pretty good side by side comparison

Honestly I would be happy with either

Either one would be a significant upgrade compared to who has held the position here in the last many years.

I think my preference at this point is Peters. He's had a hand in fielding a top 5 defense over the last three years, to go along with one of the best offenses over that time as well.

I was looking at the comparison that was linked in an above post and the thing that stuck out to me was where Cunningham has been. He has a connection to the Ravens, and also his Philly time means he has a strong familiarity with our division. For those reasons alone I am hoping for Cunningham, but I expect it will be Peters.

Being in the Ravens organization and around / learning from Ozzie Newsome is definitely a factor. I'm not sure familiarity with the division is much of a factor. Ultimately, results is what will be the deciding factor.

Whoever it is will be far more qualified than anyone since Beathard. No more putting lipstick on a pig. This is going to be built the right way.

There was a lot that I liked about Cunningham after reading that article. In particular his his success rate at drafting OL which due to college offenses has started to become more challenging to rate the positions. One thing to note both had drafts with weighted average career values that were high and also some that were low. Even highly sought after candidates will have bad drafts.
