Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

We will see how this plays out ...this ownership has one shot at this ..the bringing in the next latest greatest coordinator with No head coach experience with a rookie QB sounds like a lot of wishing and hoping ..with my Vrabel comment I'm seeing where the TOP football minds believe he is the top guy available right now as head coach .. I would be very excited to see him come here .. but that's just my opinion ..

I don't know. He's the best offspring from the Belichick tree, and he's barely over .500. He did get them to the playoffs 3 of 6 years, and is 3-3 (and one game away form the big one in 2019). But they've declined over the last 2 years and seemed to lose their identity since 2021. Is it the coach or the owner/GM? How did they let AJ Brown go?

Certainly interview him but is he the best available?

I don't know. He's the best offspring from the Belichick tree, and he's barely over .500. He did get them to the playoffs 3 of 6 years, and is 3-3 (and one game away form the big one in 2019). He will probably end up in New England. He had Henry at RB but never had a QB. I think he was pissed the GM let Brown go.

Its basically Peters job, the question is does he say yes

Seems like it’s really about the right combination of GM-HC-QB, not just the “best” in each category. I would love to start with Peters and then trust him to create that combination. No reason Vrabel couldn’t end up being the guy. Kyle Shanahan had a losing record here, so what?

I'd only look at the success active coaches have had since leaving Washington anyway, not while they were here. Everyone who's been through those doors since Snyder came on the scene should have an * after their stats for those years, even Ron.

I think you're right. Josh seems to be looking for an executive team of people, each of whom believes in integrating analytics with decision making.

Sure, but crappy situations happen in other places for a variety of reasons. Have to look at more than W-L

AJ Brown once implied that it was the FO who believed that he is not worth the contract extension. If I recall correctly, Titans fired their GM a few days later after AJ Brown had a monster game against Titans.
