: In a sweeping overhaul, Commanders owner Josh Harris has hired two prominent executives – former Warriors GM Bob Myers and former Vikings GM Rick Spielman - to assist his group in searches for a new head of football operations and coach.

Not quite sure I get why he's involving Myers. Spielman on the other hand I feel like is a really good move.

It's not about X's and O's, it's about finding the right people to run an organization. Myers can help, the guy is a winner.

Exactly! I had to school some silly Cowboy fan who has no idea re: the hiring of Myers.

Josh Harris hiring former Warriors GM Bob Myers to an executive role.
First outgrowth of leveraging his ownership/experience in other sports, bringing in a proven talent from the NBA. Don't need a "football guy" for team-building and culture change.

Most organizations and businesses hire people from myriad experiences. It provides a different lens for growth. We'd still have QBs that are shit at sliding if they didn't hire baseball coaches to teach them but that happened 30 years ago.
