I think you know it is all in jest. Using animals for human entertainment is pretty high on my disgust factor.

Go back and read the threads about him being the problem all year and tell me he would make a good HC .so let's eliminate him .. it can only be Glenn or Weaver and they were Not on anyone's radar a few weeks ago . I just can't believe this new group didn't have some sort of clue that Johnson was not the guy ( for whatever reason) I was never a fan of his anyways and it just bothers me this happened.. I don't think there is any doubt they were blindsided by Campbell's decision, I do believe he was their first choice and they are pissed. But if a guy consults with his wife and decides to stay, for now, where he is happy and has a chance to win a ring or if a coach goes to Seattle and sees their roster, facility and stadium and choses that over the mess here in Ashburn and Raljon I can't put that on the Commanders organization.

I get that they are falling behind with regard to filing out the staff. But at this point they are the only team standing so why rush to make the fans feel better?

Keim seems positive that the team wasn't going to make a final decision before Thursday or Friday anyway so I think this is still within the plan that that Peters and Harris have. I am concerned about filling out the staff but It wouldn't shock me if we poached from the 49ers after the SB specifically.

Just want EB off any list of possibilities. Please.

And overall I think they were a victim of timing. Which they had so much of... but Peter's came in a little late and coaches were already flying off the board... I hope it's an out the box, inspired and innovative type of hire.

A lot still up in the air, and the way they are controlling the information flow they will claim they got their first choice candidate whether that is true or not. In the end who ever they hire, the results after 3 years will tell the tale. I just want coches who can teach and scheme with the players they have, not the stubborn "I have system" guys. Hopefully Harris and Peters sees this, or it wont matter who they hire.

As for the Ben Johnson situation, hard to believe they were not in constant contact with his agent and knew this was a possibility, hence the strategic "he is not a lock" message that came out of nowhere, at the beginning of the week. But he made a very late decision which begs the question, why not take interview and just say there an then he is not interested.

PSTS (Post Snyder Trauma Sydrome) IS real! The reactions in this thread are evidence of it.

All evidence suggests that the team is following a plan: 8 initial interviews, 5 scheduled follow up interviews this week. Several of the follow up interviews were on teams that were eliminated this week ( Weaver, Glenn, Macdonald, Johnson) so no decision was going to be made before today. Did Johnson's backing out throw a wrench in it. Possibly. Does it mean that we now are doomed to Zorn II, most definitely not.

If we don't have a HC in the next week, then we can revisit the question. But right now it looks like they did the second set of interviews and are evaluating the results. I imagine an answer will be today or tomorrow.
