Would you trade Sweat for a good starting OT? I would. That is the type of trade we should be looking for, either by current player or high draft choice in 2024.

I don't think anyone is advocating making a trade just for the sake of making a trade.

I would prefer to trade Sweat or Young for draft picks and have enough capital to trade up for the best OT or a QB (which may not be out of a question with a whole new regime coming in).

There are some good OT's in this draft. The guys from Penn State and Notre Dame come to mind just off of the top of my head.

Since DE’s don’t grow on trees, I would sign both, trade Payne next year for a high 1st, draft OL, MLB and another DT.

I feel like I've been seeing the opposite, at least the last few drafts / seasons with how many pretty good to high level edge rushers come out in April or have been emerging after a year or 2 in the league.

I'd be fine with trading either, as long as there is no fleecing involved

If you can draft a stud MLB, it makes easier on DT’s and hopefully Mathis or
a new drafted DT can fill him.

What used to be big IFs can hopefully be picks that go in our favor going forward

Don’t trust the current regime to do a sensible trade so please leave it alone. Plus, while CY and Sweat may not be all pros, they’re legit starters and even 1st and 2nd round picks are not guarantees to be that (too many examples from our history to name). I like stockpiling picks to hedge the inherent uncertainty of the draft, but not by trading players that are producing. I’d rather trade down for more picks or unload guys who don’t fit scheme than part with productive players.

I do not have a subscription to Bullock's film room but whenever I see snippets or hear his analysis in interviews I like his breakdown. A little read about the evolution of Chase Young at the top: https://www.hogshaven.com/2023/10/26/23932022/daily-slop-26-oct-23-mark-bullock-chase-young-should-be-extended-not-traded
