I completely understand that the NFL is a business, and I generally support the player's desire to go after the best possible deal for themselves at all time.
However, wouldn't it be nice if there were more players like this? (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8552747)

His desire to win is greater than his desire for money, and I believe that is what Gibbs is trying to build with us player's who are more concerned with winning than the extra buck.

Dude! That's the coolest thing I've heard in a while. Not too many guys have that kind of attitude. Very unselfish and team-oriented if you ask me. :biggthump
I respect him but he definitely deserves a new deal. Hopefully the good will he's shown the team will pay off.

The Chargers would probably give him money. If you're a nice guy and try hard, you'll be rewarded for it. Compare the Bulls' Jay Williams incident with KWII's.
The TO's and Rosenhauses of the world must HATE what Gates is doing. More power to him. The league needs more guys like this.
