The whole situation seems off. It doesn't seem like the family got what they hoped for, but I hope they will move on. Clinging onto an ugly situation is only going to make it worse for them..

The whole thing sounds too odd to be true. He was drugged but no drugs detected. Truck was faulty leading him to run out of gas. Highway was faulty and some how the truck drive was also at fault. Yet he had an alcohol level of .20 almost 2 time over the legal limit.

Family got what they wanted, one last paycheck from their dead son. All they ever cared about was exploiting him and his talent for cash. Tragic

Sounds like his family wanted money for their son making a series of poor decisions.

Read that article and what a load of horseshit. They want to blame everybody but the person that caused all this. Defective truck caused him to run out of gas? No dumbass, his drunk ass was too stupid to fill the tank up. Piece of shit family IMO.

A loss of human life in those kind of circumstances is always tragic. I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but Dwayne did not seem to be a bright guy, and he did not have a good support system. His family seems to border on being human garbage and all they cared about in Dwayne's life, and now his death, was to look for that next paycheck. Truly sad.

The sad truth of what can happens to a 26 year old that has money lacking in maturity and intelligence. He was taken advantage of by criminals. Not all young people are smart enough to handle personal finances stay clear of criminals.
This entire story from the day he died smells like lies, cover up and whitewashing. The NFL is very good at it.
Shit man, I get robbed every time I go to a strip club.
I get robbed every time I get shit faced.
I'm looking forward to getting robbed again.
If they can sue the highway, how did they miss suing Dan Snyder for drafting him in the first round and setting him up for a big fall?
